The National League for Democracy (NLD) spokesman Dr. Myo Nyunt has told Mizzima that it had dismissed Ayeyarwady Region legislative assembly deputy speaker after questioning him regarding the purchase of five vehicles to be used by Ayeyarwady Region legislative assembly.

“Yes, it’s true. The order has been issued today. He was dismissed from the party,” Dr. Myo Nyunt said.

A complaint was lodged against deputy speaker San Min Aung for abusing his power in purchasing the vehicles for 2017-18 financial year to be used by Region Assembly Office. A special investigation team led by NLD party alternate CC Kyaw Hoe was formed and the case was investigated in December 2018.

He was invited to party headquarters and questioned regarding the purchase of the vehicles and dismissed.
