Local Resistance Forces use landmines against Tatmadaw infantry battalion

Pale Jokers group said that 12 landmines were planted to attack about 100 troops of an infantry battalion in the western part of Pattara village and the east of Wanbae Chaing village on Pale-Gangaw Road, in Pale Township, Sagaing region on November 8.

"100 troops did not enter the killing field. Only about 30 troops did. While they were marching, we mined them and a lot of troops died,” Pale Jokers told Mizzima.

The attack was carried out by Pale Jokers PDF battalion (1) Led by Captain Mae Lone and battalion (2) led by Captain Nay Yaung with eight Padethar mines and four mortars.

The Pale Jokers group said the exact number of casualties was unknown.
