The People’s Defence Force (YSO) and the MG6 guerrilla force were able to kill a Military Council informant in Zee Taw Sanpya Village in Yesagyo Township, Magway Region on the morning of August 27, according to the joint group.

The statement said, "Dalan (informant) Than Htay was assassinated by the People’s Defence Force Yesagyo and the MG6 guerrilla force."

Than Htay was one of the people who joined the Military Council troops on August 19 when they raided the People's Defense Force camps. In that search, he was accompanied by his nephew, the Zee Taw administrator.

PDF in Yesagyo Township announced that before the Military Council force raided the camp, PDF troops was able to leave the camp on time and avoid fighting. No one was arrested.

Zee Taw Sanpya Village is located on the Pakokku-Monywa Highway. According to a local source, the Military Council forces stormed the village and destroyed homes and property there on May 24.
