The Junta has instructed soldiers' wives (Ye May) to take up arms in the event of an attack by the People's Defense Forces (PDF), according to a People militia group.
Soldiers' wives are often referred to as Ye May (police women) in the army. The instruction was issued on September 14.
The wives of soldiers also have to hold arms for security in rotation day and night when their husbands go to the front line.
