Myanmar Teachers Federation (MTF) General Secretary Dr. Zaw Myo Hlaing told Mizzima that they would provide legal aid to school teachers on duty at polling stations in case of complaints against them in false cases during general elections.

The school teachers who were on duty at polling stations in 2015 general elections had had similar experiences of false cases so MTF had a plan to provide legal aid to their fellow teachers, GS Dr. Zaw Myo Hlaing added.

The school teachers who will be on duty at polling stations can contact MTF for assistance when they face unnecessary intimidation, pressure and coercion and also MTF will contact and provide assistance to teachers when the organizations learns about such cases.
