Myanmar anti-junta guerrillas claim their armed struggle is not for political power

The Chinland Defence Force (CDF) comprised mainly of Chin people across the country insist their ongoing guerrilla movement is not for political power, according to a statement.

They also announced that their armed struggle does not represent any political party and the group will be annulled after the elected government regains its power

The CDF also blamed some elected representatives in the 2020 General Election for their claim to remove CDF name and enticement with official financial support only under the name of the People’s Defence Force.

The Chin local fighters regard such enticements are created to cause dissension among their people and they are opposed to any political party, organization and individuals who are responsible for persuing disunity in this way.
