Myanmar reports 1,702 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours

Myanmar reported 1,702 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the tally to 446,573 in the country on Sunday, according to a release from the Ministry of Health, Xinhua reported.

The death toll has increased to 17,073 on Sunday after 57 more deaths were reported, the release said.

Over 3.47 million people had been fully vaccinated nationwide, while over 2.05 million people had received the first jabs of COVID-19 vaccines as of Saturday, the release said.
