Myanmar resistance forces attack police station in Sagaing’s Pale Township

The Black Leopard People's Defence Force announced that one Military Council soldier was killed and one local joint defence force fighter was injured when Local Joint Defense Forces attacked Kandaunt local Police Station in Pale Township in Sagaing Region.

"Kandaunt Police Station primarily provides support to Pyu Saw Htee villages in Pale Township, such as Inpinhtee and Zeephyukone Villages," said a Thakin Daung Nyo People's Defence Force official who took part in the attack.

The battle lasted from 9 am to 6 pm on 4 January, with one soldier of the Military Council killed and others injured.

"We fired heavy artillery as well as small firearms at the police station. It was quite an intense battle. I believe many soldiers were injured because ambulances were seen entering the police station following the fighting,” the official said.

According to the Black Leopard People's Defense Force, after the battle with the Local Joint Defense Forces, Military Council troops began firing at cars and motorcycles passing near the station.

Black Leopard People's Defense Force, Yinmarbin District Battalion (11), Pakokku District Battalion (15), Thakin Daung Nyo People's Defense Force, Chindwin Toe Na Yar force, Nagarni force, and Yoma Yarzar Force all participated in the attack.
