Local residents said a bomb blast at an Electricity Power Corporation (EPC) office in Chan Mya Thar Si township, Mandalay killed at least one person.

"I heard a loud voice. It was about 10:30 am when a bomb exploded in the electricity office. A person who came to pay an electricity bill was hit. He came to pay an electricity bill on Sunday because it is the appointed date," said a resident near the electricity office. According to initial reports, two people were injured by the bomb and one was killed.

There are some people who go to the Electricity Power Corporation (EPC) office in Chan Mya Thar Si township. In the past, military counciltroops have been stationed inside the compound the threat of bombing.
