Ooredoo Myanmar recognized as fastest mobile network

Ooredoo Myanmar has once again been recognized as the Fastest Mobile Network in Myanmar for Q1-Q2 2019 by network speed testing global leader Ookla®. Ooredoo previously won the award for Myanmar’s fastest mobile network for Q2-Q3 2018, according to a statement.

Ooredoo achieved a Speed Score of 28.36, with average speeds of 30.00 Mbps for download and 16.62 Mbps for upload. Speedtest Intelligence® data is comprised of millions of consumer-initiated tests performed on web and mobile Speedtest® platforms. All mobile network providers in Myanmar are represented in Speedtest Intelligence data, with significant volumes of tests nationwide. “We can confirm that Speedtest Intelligence data supports the award for Myanmar’s Fastest Mobile Network to Ooredoo.” Said Doug Suttles, CEO, Ookla.

Ooredoo commercially launched the first 4G network in Myanmar in May 2016 and currently covers more than 300 townships and nearly 32 million people.
