Resistance forces announced that at least six Tatmadaw were killed and many more injured in a landmine attack on military council vehicles in Chaung-U township.

The Chaung-U People's Defense Force (CHU-PDF) said that two military trucks with junta troops were attacked by nine mines between Nat Ye Kan village and Ye Poe Sa village in Mandalay-Monywa Road, between Myinmu township and Chaung-U township.

A CHU-PDF member told Mizzima that the Monywa-based guerrilla group (named Monywa- Thanmane Force), led by Khun Sa, joined with the Chaung-U People's Defense Force for the attack.
