Speaking on the sidelines of the ASEAN summit in Cambodia, Indonesian President Joko Widodo says the Southeast Asian bloc must not be 'held hostage' to the situation in Myanmar, which has been under military rule since a coup last year.

ASEAN leaders on Friday demanded the junta take action to implement a peace plan aimed at quelling Myanmar's escalating bloodshed which has seen thousands killed since the coup.
