The National Unity Government (NUG)

 

  • According to the End of Dictatorship, they have received pre-orders for over 300 pieces of land for the project of Spring Mandalay Investment by the Ministry of Planning, Finance and Investment-NUG.
  • In accordance with the right to self-defence, the public have been taking part in a People’s Defensive War. Reportedly, 73 members of the junta armed forces died and 13 others were injured on Wednesday.
  • Acting President of the NUG stated a tribute to Kalay General Strike for their march against the military dictatorship every day without fail for 600 days.

Revolution Activities

  • On Friday morning, Myanmar people in Mae Sot of Thailand called for legal action at the ICC against the military junta for their war crimes on the general public throughout the country, including the deadly incident in Letyatgone Village.
  • Daw Thant Wai Kyaw, Sagaing Regional MP from Kalay Township, sold her ruby ring and locket in an auction and donated the proceeds to the revolution forces and war refugees.
  • In Tamu Township of Sagaing Region, there was an event on completion of basic military training Batch (6) by local PDF on Wednesday.
  • In Madayar Township of Mandalay Region, there was a mine attack on the junta army demanding money from the public at the bridge near Lamaing Bridge. Reportedly, no less than 3 junta soldiers died.
  • According to prison sources, a prisoner died in Obo Prison in recent days as he could not get medical treatment in a timely manner.
  • In Seikphyu Township and Pakkoku Township of Magwe Region, the junta armed forces, which have been invading since 15 September, have arrested and killed the civilians.
  • In Seikphyu Township and Pakkoku Township, 3 displaced pregnant women gave birth to baby boys while running away from an invasion by the junta army.
  • Karenni sources confirmed that it was junta sergeant Thein Soe Nyunt who was shot and injured on the plane at Loikaw Airport.
  • In Yay Township of Mon State, there was an attack on the car of a Meza police officer on Friday morning. Reportedly, 3 members of the junta police died and their weapons were confiscated.
  • In Namkam of Shan North, there was a bomb explosion in a car carrying 2 junta army doctors and 2 junta army officers. Reportedly, all of them died.
  • In Hinthada of Ayeyarwaddy Region, the junta armed forces sealed off the house belonging to the Chair of local NLD on Thursday afternoon.
  • In Minhla Township of Bago Region, a group of 5 junta soldiers beat the administrator of Htautgyant Village and his clerk at about 4:00 pm Thursday.
  • In Taninthayi Region, over 50 political prisoners were released from Myeik Prison on Friday morning after serving their sentences fully.
  • In the south of Thanlyin Township of Yangon Region, there was an attack at the gate on entrance to the junta navy. According to local PDF, there might have been casualties and damage.
  • In Hpakant Township of Kachin State, there has been a complete black-out of telephone networks since Thursday night.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In Kya-In Seikgyi Township of Kayin State, there was a clash between the junta armed forces and a combined force of Karen National Liberation Army-KNLA. Reportedly, 3 junta soldiers died and another one was injured.
  • In Hpakant Township of Kachin State, a combined force of Kachin Independence Army-KIA and Kachin People’s Defence Force-KPDF arrested robbers who were acting under the pretence of being PDF members.
  • On Friday, Mobye PDF announced that they had found the dead bodies of their missing three members in a well.
  • In Myitkyina of Kachin State, the leader of NDA-K had a public meeting with some ethnic groups in Myothitgyi Ward.

The Military Council

  • On Thursday, the junta Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation conducted an auction for gold weighing three viss. However, they did not make the sale as there were no bidders.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that the cause of the high cost of living was lack of local production, and that there would be more job opportunities and less workers abroad if such production could be made.
  • The military junta announced that they had arrested the owners of a car carrying weapons at the investigation gate of a bridge in Mon State.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that they have been pursuing prosperity and food security in the country as a national objective.
  • At the central meeting (3/2022), the junta Minister U Aung Naing Oo said that they would negotiate with Thailand for the project of Dawei Special Economic Zone.
  • The junta Deputy Minister of Construction said that the staff members were to take care of personal security as well as the security of office buildings and machinery while they were on duty.

Summary on 30 September

  • In the case of an attack on a commercial flight, the military junta blamed the local PDF. However, it was not easy for PDF members to come to Loikaw with tight security measures. So, this might be a made-up story.
  • In Sagaing, Magwe, Karenni and Kayin, there were heavy battles on a daily basis. Reportedly, there were casualties on both sides. In Sagaing and Magwe, the junta armed forces with a great loss have been burning local villages as usual.
  • In Mandalay Region, the activities of Urban Guerrillas regained momentum in recent days. On the other hand, the number of arrests was on the rise as there were alleged informers in the revolutionary forces.
