The National Unity Government (NUG)

 

  • In cooperation with the NUG Representative Office in South Korea, Myanmar people in South Korea played a winter football match on Sunday to raise funds for the revolution.
  • In Demoso Township in Karenni State, there was an attack on the junta army stationed in Dawngankha Village at 11:00 am on Sunday. According to the Mid-Regional Battalion (1102), two junta soldiers died.
  • The NUG released a statement welcoming the additional sanctions by the EU and the US on the military junta and related cronies.
  • At 10:00 am on Sunday, there was a meeting (34/2022) between the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration and the Special Regional Public Administration Teams.

Revolutionary Activities

  • In Usan and Gapyeong in South Korea, Daegu Sayardaw led a prayer event for peace as well as a protest against the military dictatorship on Sunday.
  • In British Columbia in Canada, there have been shows two times a day of the movie- ‘The Road Not Taken’ by Director Ko Pauk.
  • On Sunday, a rally of Mya Thway marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Tamu Township of Sagaing Region, local PDF announced that the public was not to use the Tamu-Kanpat-Kalay Road starting from Sunday morning due to military tensions in the area.
  • In Myaung Township, the junta army set fire to the 1,000 household Myitsone Village for the whole day on Saturday. Reportedly, nearly the whole village was burnt to ashes.
  • In Kantbalu Township, the junta armed forces raided Inma Village and Pintha Village on Saturday morning. On the way, they were attacked with mines. Reportedly, about 40 junta soldiers died.
  • In Wetlet Township, there was fighting between the junta army and PDFs between Yethaughtkan Village and Paukkan Village on Saturday afternoon. Reportedly, two cars and motorbikes belonging to the PDFs were destroyed.
  • In Wetlet Township, the Basic Education Students’ Union led anti-junta public talks.
  • In Chaung-U Township, there were clashes between PDFs on patrol and the junta Pyusawti on Saturday morning. Reportedly, three Pyu Saw Htee members died.
  • In Hommalin Township, there has been heavy fighting between the junta army + the Shanni National Army and a combined force of PDFs since 11 November.
  • In Shwebo, there was a mortar attack on the junta vehicle registration office at about 5:00 pm on Saturday. Reportedly, two junta soldiers died.
  • In Wuntho Township, 11 firefighters, including the junta fire brigade officer, were arrested by a group of people on the night of 10 November. Reportedly, they have not been released yet.
  • In downtown Yangon, youths hung an anti-junta banner on a bridge on Sunday.
  • On YBS buses in the city of Yangon, the movement of ‘Failed Law’ continued. Reportedly, it was joined by the public.
  • In Insein Prison, Ma Wuit Yi Aung, an EC member of Dagon University Students’ Union, has been in critical condition. Reportedly, she fainted very often from 24 October to 10 November.
  • In North Okkalapa Township in Yangon Region, the junta hundred household leader Soe Soe died at hospital on Saturday morning 12 days after being shot.
  • In North Okkalapa Township, there was an explosion near the junta administration office of Nya Ward on Saturday at noon.
  • In Kayan Township, Win Naing, allegedly a junta informer in Deipauk Village, was shot dead by unknown gunmen at 3:40 pm on Saturday.
  • In October, a CDM English lecturer from Yangon Western Technological University was arrested. Reportedly, she was sentenced to five years in prison.
  • In Ngazun Township in Mandalay Region, Khin Maung Than, allegedly a junta informer in Myotha, was shot dead at about 10:00 am on Saturday.
  • In Pyigyi Dagun Township, there was a grenade attack on the house of a junta captain on Saturday afternoon.
  • In Myaing Township in Magwe Region, the junta army burnt Hnansikan Village at 3:30 pm on Saturday and 12 houses were burnt to ashes.
  • In Myaing Township, local PDFs attacked Pyu Saw Htee members picking peanuts in the fields belonging to local people in the south of Thayetkan Village on Saturday morning. Reportedly, six Pyu Saw Htee members died.
  • In Myanaung Township in Ayeyarwady Region, an alleged junta informer was shot in Hmyinwataung Village at 4:00 pm on Saturday.
  • In Thayetchaung Township in Tanintharyi Region, 25 local people were arrested at the junta inspection gate on the Myeik-Dawei Union Road on Friday as they were on their way back from a wedding reception.
  • In Longlone Township and Yebyu Township, there were no less than four attacks on the junta armed forces taking security measures for the trip of the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing from 2 to 5 November. Reportedly, no less than 60 junta soldiers died.
  • In Moemauk Township in Kachin State, the junta army destroyed the office of the National League for Democracy (NLD) on Saturday. According to the NLD MPs, junta soldiers also took documants from the office so, party members must take measures for their own security.
  • In Ye Township in Mon State, local PDFs called on the schools in the north of the township to close as they would conduct more attacks on the junta members and associates in that area.
  • In Karenni State, Ma Myint Mo, the lucky draw winner of People’s Spring, donated food to a local IDP Camp.
  • In Pekone on the border area of Shan and Karenni states, a fully-armed soldier from the junta army Ka-Ma-Ya (336) defected to Mobye PDF.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • In Kyaikmayaw Township in Mon State, a combined force of the KNLA and Red Dragon attacked Chaunghnakwa Police Station on Saturday morning. Reportedly, four junta police members were caught alive and seven weapons were confiscated.
  • The Karen National Union (KNU) stated that the 2008 Constitution had already been dissolved since the military seized power in 2021 and thus, they could not accept the 2023 junta’s election which was an effort to bring the dead Constitution back to life.
  • In Nyaunglebin District controlled by the KNU Brigade (3), a combined force of KNLA+PDFs attacked three junta army camps on Saturday morning. Reportedly, there were casualties among junta soldiers including officers.
  • In Myawaddy Township under KNU Brigade (6), the junta armed forces fired mortars at Thaybawboe Village and Taungni Village on the roadside of Myawaddy-Wawlay. Reportedly, local farmers have had to run away.
  • In Myitkyina in Kachin State, no less than 10 KIA officers and members in plain clothes were arrested by the junta armed forces at Happy KTV at 5:00 am on Saturday.
  • According to KIO/KIA Communication, over 500 members of the junta armed forces have defected to the People’s Embrace.
  • In Waingmaw Township, a military convoy was attacked with mines by the KIA on Chihway Road on Friday. Reportedly, two junta vehicles were on fire.
  • At 7:00 pm on Thursday, the Engineering and Innovation Department under the Zomi Federal Union (PDF Zoland) successfully completed their Drone Training Batch (1).

The Military Council

  • On Saturday, the military junta opened Naypyidaw Technological University. Reportedly, present on the occasion was the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing.
  • At the opening ceremony of the Naypyidaw Technological University, the junta leader said that there would be agricultural engineering courses in the upcoming academic year.
  • The junta Deputy Minister of Planning and Finance said that the future pension fund for government employees would be established for a sustainable pension system.
  • According to the junta Public Overseas Employment Agency, more than 3,000 people passed the EPS-Topic exam in South Korea for the sector of agriculture and livestock.
  • The junta’s Myanmar Railway Department called for tenders for the construction of overpasses as a part of upgrading the Yangon City Railway.
  • According to the junta Ministry of Trade and Commerce, it earned over $88 million USD from the export of forestry products from 1 April to October in the current fiscal year.
  • On Saturday night, the military junta announced that a gang of 11 people, who had committed robbery and murder in Yangon, had been arrested together with over 100 phones and cash worth over 50 lakh MMK.
  • Since the military coup, there have been crimes such as robbery, murder, pickpocketing and theft in Yangon on a daily basis. Yangon residents have been criticizing the military junta’s failure to defend the public.

Summary on 14 November

  • Since the military coup, there have been too many crimes throughout the country. Mostly, the junta security forces do not bother to come to the scene for inspection. They have just made arrests in some cases so that they can be reported in the junta’s propaganda media.
  • Due to the armed revolution, the number of casualties among junta members has increased every day. There have been more arrests as well.
  • Even amidst the junta army’s security measures in Yangon, in recent days there were more protests against the military dictatorship. But, in Mandalay, there were no protests due to recent arrests, but urban guerrillas have still been active.
