The National Unity Government (NUG)

 

  • At the meeting of the Central Committee for the Interim Public Administration on Sunday, the NUG Union Minister of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Risks Management stated that it was necessary to take care of everything as the revolution gets more momentum.
  • On Sunday, the Department of the Interim Rule of Law under the NUG Ministry of Judiciary Affairs announced that the public could report to them by sending the records of losses and damages caused by violent activities of the junta army as well as the armed forces.
  • In cooperation with the AAC led by Ko Ye Min, the NUG Ministry of Labour managed to help family members get compensation worth over 2 million baht for two Myanmar workers who were killed in a car accident in Thailand.
  • In commemoration of National Day, there was a discussion from 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Monday. Reportedly, the NUG Minister of Defence delivered the opening speech.
  • At 7:00 pm on 11 November, the NUG Ministry of Human Rights made a presentation about the review paper of the 1982 Citizen Law to the Committee Representing the Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH).

Revolutionary Activities

  • Anti-junta youth called on the general public to protest against the junta’s 2023 Election.
  • In Hlaing Township in Yangon Region, there was a bomb explosion at the side of the road in Ward (7) at about 7:30 pm on Sunday when a military car on patrol arrived there. Reportedly, two junta members and a civilian got injured.
  • In most townships in Yangon, youths and students continued their ‘Failed Law’ Movement.
  • In Kani Township in Sagaing Region, local people conducted a march against the military dictatorship on Monday.
  • In Monywa, revolutionaries expressed their objection to the military dictatorship with anti-junta slogans on their lower pieces of clothing.
  • According to Black Wolf Army PDF, they carried out 16 operation against the junta armed forces within a year of their establishment, killing over 50 junta soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members.
  • In Yinmabin Township, a locally-based PDF has continued to produce long-range projectiles and share them with their alliance.
  • In the south of Kani, local PDFs fired mortars at the junta army and Pyu Saw Htee members stationed in Yelegyun Village at 6:00 am on Monday. According to KLG PDF, the number of junta casualties is not known.
  • In Myaung Township, PDFs conducted a guerrilla attack on the junta army invading the area on Sunday. Reportedly, there was fighting for 30 minutes and five junta soldiers were killed.
  • On the border of Myaung Township and Yesagyo Township, MI-35 military helicopters mistakenly shot at the junta army troops on Sunday morning. Reportedly, 69 junta soldiers died.
  • In Myinmu Township, there was a bomb attack using a drone on the junta army on the way out of Gwebindaw Village at 9:30 am on Sunday. Reportedly, it was still unknown about the exact number of casualties among junta soldiers.
  • Myinmu Eagle PDF has been selling lucky draw tickets to raise funds for the revolution.
  • On Monday, the Kalay General Strike marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship, and raised anti-junta banners.
  • In Wetlet Township, the junta army set fire to Htangyi Village on Sunday morning. Reportedly, nearly 300 houses were burnt to ashes.
  • In Myaing Township in Magwe Region, there was a mine attack on the junta armed forces on their way back after burning Kangalay Village at about 5:30 pm on Sunday. Reportedly, no less than five junta soldiers died.
  • In Yesagyo Township, PDFs attacked the junta army stationed at a local hospital at 3:30 pm Sunday. Reportedly, two junta soldiers died and another one was injured.
  • In Pakkoku Township, local PDFs donated food to displaced people whose houses had been burnt by junta soldiers.
  • In Pakkoku Township, the Basic Students’ Union has been conducting anti-junta public talks.
  • In Pauk Township, the Daewa Yatkha Team managed to produce rockets on their own.
  • In Pauk Township, there was a bomb attack using drones on a Pyu Saw Htee training in Yargyibyin Village on Saturday. Reportedly, Pyu Saw Htee members ran around like headless chickens.
  • On the Mandalay-Madayar Road, there was a grenade attack on the junta soldiers and police near Shwekyin Tollbooth at about 7:00 pm on Sunday. Reportedly, there might have been casualties among no less than three junta members.
  • In Myingyan Township in Mandalay Region, there was a surprise attack on the junta army and Pyu Saw Htee in Kyi Village at about 10:30 pm on Saturday. Reportedly, some Pyu Saw Htee members died and one of their camps was set on fire.
  • In Tanintharyi Township in Tanintharyi Region, there were battles between a combined force of local PDFs and the junta armed forces in three villages at the same time on Monday morning.
  • Sittaung Urban Guerrilla (Naypyidaw) will auction three silver necklaces donated by a family for the revolutionary fund.
  • Daungmin Troop, comprising of five urban guerrilla forces, is in need of weapons to fight against the military dictatorship.
  • In Shan State, there was an attack with three bombs on the Top One KTV, opened by the junta army and People’s Army, near Muse Hsinphyupaut Gate on the China-Myanmar border on Monday morning. Reportedly, two members of the junta People’s Army were injured.
  • In Ponnagyun Township in Rakhine State, the junta army raided Hsin Ingyi Village and killed no less than 10 civilians. Reportedly, thousands of local people have had to run away and they have been in need of accommodation and food.
  • In Thatone Township in Mon State, the junta army shot mortars at Htonebolay Village for no apparent reason. Consequently, six houses were damaged.
  • In Myitkyina in Kachin State, the junta armed forces have been confiscating cars belonging to the public in recent days. As a result the Anti-SAC Force said it would take revenge on them.
  • For the IDPs and CDFs in Chin State, the actress Paing Phyo Thu made crochet dresses and sold lucky draw tickets to win the dresses on Sunday.
  • The president of the Philippines stated that some ASEAN members had discussed the dismissal of Myanmar from ASEAN saying that they do not want to communicate with the Myanmar generals. He added that there had been arguments among member states at the Summit regarding Myanmar’s affairs.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • Between Shwekyin and Kyaukgyi in Bago Region, the Karen National Union (KNU) conducted attacks on three junta army camps on Saturday. Reportedly, 11 junta soldiers died and weapons were confiscated.
  • In the area under KNU Brigade (6), the junta army unit under Regiment (44) invaded the Lukoe Nyaung Chaung Area on the Myawaddy-Wawlay Road. Consequently, there was a battle on Sunday, according to Cobra Troop.
  • In Shan North, there was fighting between the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and the junta army on the way from Theinni to Kunlone at about 8:00 am on Sunday.
  • In Loikaw Township in Karenni State, there was a guerrilla attack on junta troops near Lawpita on Sunday evening. According to the Karenni National Defence Force, three junta soldiers, including a captain, died and a gun was confiscated.
  • In Loikaw Township, the junta army fired mortars into Konesut Village for no apparent reason on Sunday. According to the KNDF, two local women, including a pregnant one, were injured.

The Military Council

  • The junta propaganda leader Zaw Min Tun said that they had been working on exporting hundred tons of fishery products to Russia on a monthly basis.
  • According to the balance sheet for the first three months (April-June) of the 2022-23 fiscal year, the junta ministries spent over 5,376 billion MMK and their defence ministry accounted for more than 503 billion MMK.
  • According to the junta Ministry of Trade and Commerce, trade at the Thai-Myanmar border trade camps for the first seven months of the current fiscal year was worth over 2.6 billion USD.
  • According to the junta DICA, foreign direct investment (FDI) was over 210 million USD in October. Reportedly, it was the second-largest investment of the 2022-23 fiscal year.
  • The junta’s edible oil committee set the reference price for the Yangon wholesale price of cooking oil to be 4,350 MMK per viss from 14 to 20 November.
  • According to the junta propaganda newspaper, the junta army team won 12 gold medals, 12 silver medals and eight bronze medals in the 30th ASEAN Military Shooting Competition held in Vietnam from 4 to 11 November.
  • In Mingaladone Township in Yangon, the junta army claimed that nearly 10,000 households from five wards had been occupying the land of the army and they were to move away within seven days.
  • In Ngaputaw Township in Ayeyarwady Region, since 7 November the military junta has been arresting soldiers and police, who deserted the junta armed forces.

Summary on 15 November

  • Throughout the country, the armed revolution has had great momentum. There were also various campaigns to express disapproval of the military dictatorship despite demonstrators being arrested.
  • With the defence sector taking more of the national budget than any other sector, the military junta has been oppressing people and committing violent acts throughout the country.
  • The military junta tried to thwart the implementation of the ASEAN 5-Point Consensus that Min Aung Hlaing agreed to, he just ruled the country how he wanted to. However now, some ASEAN leaders are impatient and would like to see Myanmar kicked out of ASEAN.
