The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • In Katha Township in Sagaing Region, the NUG officially opened a local court on Saturday.
  • According to a focal person of the NUG Katha Township Court, the NUG has gained 75% of the administration in the area.
  • According to the End of Dictatorship, the NUG Ministry of Planning, Finance and Investment will start the sale of 1,200 pieces of land, which were confiscated by the military junta in Bahan Township and South Dagon Township in Yangon Region, for the Spring Revolution Fund on 22 October.
  • At the third committee meeting of the 77th United Nations General Assembly on Friday, Myanmar’s Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun claimed that the military junta had been spreading false information and propaganda news which would do harm to the public and they had also been oppressing the media and press people.
  • In Myaing Township of Magwe Region, the NUG has opened over 170 schools and more than 30,000 students have been learning there.

Revolutionary Activities

  • In Yinmabin North of Sagaing Region, a combined rally of three local villages protested against the military dictatorship on Sunday.
  • On Monywa-Amyint Road, a combined rally of General Strike Committee and students marched against the military dictatorship on Sunday as a part of Global Myanmar Students’ Movement.
  • In Butalin Township, a PDF camp was raided on Saturday and two members lost their lives.
  • In Yinmabin Township of Sagaing Region, CDM doctors from the Burma Liberation Force provided medical check-ups and anti-worm tablets to children aged 2 to 5.
  • In Shwebo Township, there was an attack with a homemade projectile at Shwebo University in Mingyaung Village at 6:30 pm on Saturday.
  • In Monywa Township, two Pyu Saw Htee members, who had been involved in the murder of two local PDF members, were caught alive. Reportedly, they died during interrogation.
  • In Chaung-U Township, the junta armed forces set fire to four local villages. Reportedly, over 300 houses were burnt to ashes and more than 8,000 local people had to run away.
  • In Chaung-U Township, an alliance of local PDFs attacked the junta army on Saturday. Reportedly, no less than nine junta soldiers were injured. As for the PDFs, they lost three members.
  • In the east of Wetlet Township, there was a clash between the junta army and local PDFs on Sunday morning. Reportedly, there might have been casualties among junta soldiers.
  • In Pyawbwe Township in Mandalay Region, a combined force of Pyawbwe and Thazi PDFs attacked the inspection gate at about 11:00 am on Sunday. Reportedly, a member of the junta police died on the spot.
  • In Thazi Township, there was gunfire in a house in Ward (4) on Saturday. According to local residents, four people were injured in the incident.
  • Based in Ngazun Township, the TGYR-Youth Guerrilla Counter-Revolution called on the public to contribute to the procurement of M4 guns which would enable them to attack the junta armed forces more effectively.
  • In Chanmya in Thazi Township, there was a grenade explosion near a MyTel Telecom Tower in Thanlyet Hmaw South Ward on Saturday night. Reportedly, two residents nearby were injured.
  • On Saturday night, the junta army raided the monastery where Pyigyi Dagun Sayardaw had been residing.
  • In Kyaukgyi Township in Bago Region, the junta army raided a local PDF temporary camp on Saturday morning. Reportedly, two PDF members were arrested.
  • In Pauk Township in Magwe Region, the junta armed forces set fire to a school in Taungmyint Village on Sunday afternoon and graffitied swear words.
  • In Gantgaw Township, the dead body of a young man, who had been arrested by the junta army, was found with gunshot wounds on the bank of the Myittha River on Friday.
  • According to a representative of The Youth Force Saw and Kyauktu, they have been producing mines and long-range weapons with raw materials confiscated from trucks on their way to the junta defence equipment factory.

  • In Longlone Township in Tanintharyi Region, anti-junta youth conducted a public talk at a local market and shared anti-junta brochures on Sunday.
  • In Dawei Township, PDFs attacked the junta army on a small bridge between two villages at about 4:00 am on Saturday. Reportedly, five junta soldiers died and many others were injured.
  • On the Dawei-Myitta Road Section, there was an ambush on a convoy of seven military trucks on Friday evening. Reportedly, no less than 15 junta soldiers might have died.
  • In Myawaddy Township in Kayin State, two bombs exploded simultaneously near No. (1) Friendly Bridge and at a local market on Saturday night. Reportedly, a man was slightly injured.
  • In Shweku in Kachin State, the junta army arrested U Ko Naing, the former administrator of Ward (2), on Friday night.
  • In South Korea, there were showings of the revolutionary movie- ‘The Road Not Taken’ by Director Ko Pauk. As so many people come to watch it, there were five shows a day.
  • In Daegu in South Korea, there was a fund-raising chinlone competition. (A game played with a rattan ball)
  • According to Dancing with Ladies, they achieved their campaign target of 15,000 lakh MMK to support revolutionary forces in Chin State and Magwe Region.
  • On Friday, Operation Spitfire released a list of 14 pilots of military helicopters and fighter jets based in Yangon, who have been conducting air strikes on the public.
  • In Mae Sot on the Thai-Myanmar Border, Myanmar people made a collection for the fund to support the Spring Revolution and displaced people.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • The Secretary General of All Burma Students' Democratic Front- ABSDF  said that the words of the junta leader for the amendment of the Constitution and for the election did not bring any solution and it just made the crisis more complicated.
  • A spokesperson of the Arakan Army (AA) said that the junta army had been behaving very badly and had damaged Rakhine State.
  • In an exclusive interview with Myanmar Now, the Secretary General of the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) said that it would be difficult to uproot the military dictatorship if the NUG join hands only with some ethnic armed organizations.
  • The spokesperson of the Karen National Union (KNU) stated that it was the military junta that was currently the enemy of federal democracy.
  • On the Maungdaw-Angumaw Road in Rakhine State, the Arakan Army (AA) attacked two military trucks using mortars, near the Sarnganchaung Bridge at about 6:00 pm on Saturday.
  • In Kanpetlet in Chin State, a local CDF shot at a Mi 17 military helicopter from a high place on Sunday morning. Reportedly, the helicopter was hit.
  • In Beelin Township in Mon State, a convoy of 14 military trucks was attacked with mines by a combined force of the KNLA near Dautyap Village at 3:30 pm on Saturday. Reportedly, no less than 10 junta soldiers died.
  • The Commander of the Chin National Army said that news of fighting was not to be posted immediately to make things more secure for those fighting on the ground.
  • In Kayin State, a combined force of the KNLA and PDFs conducted a bomb attack via drone on the junta army Ka-La-Ya (32) based in KyarIn Seikgyi on Sunday morning. Reportedly, a junta captain and second sergeant Kyaw Zwa Moe died. The central patrol buildings were also damaged.
  • In Hpapun District under KNU Brigade (5), the Hawtiku Camp of the junta Border Guard Force was attacked and burnt down by KNU forces on Thursday.

The Military Council

  • On Sunday morning, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing, surrounded by 16 security vehicles, went to Pathein in Ayeyarwady Region and inspected a newly-opened garment factory.
  • On Saturday morning, the 7th anniversary of the National Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) was celebrated in Nay Pyi Taw. Reportedly, it was joined by seven ethnic armed organisations.
  • According to the junta Union Election Commission, it has already decided on 2,000 places in Naypyodaw and other townships where to locate polling stations for the upcoming election in 2023.
  • The junta Central Bank and the Myanmar Banking Association have been arranging to sell USD at Yangon Airport to those who work abroad, receive medical treatment abroad and study abroad.
  • The junta Central Bank announced that it had taken legal action against two unlicensed foreign currency exchange service providers under Foreign Currency Management Law.
  • The military junta announced that there were exchanges of fire in Hakha in Chin State as local armed forces had set fire to fire engines from the district fire brigade on Saturday night.
  • In Maungdaw Township in Rakhine State, two social workers, including U Hla Thein, the second leader of Compassion, were arrested by the junta army at about 11:00 pm on Thursday.
  • In Pyigyi Dagun Township in Mandalay Region, the military junta appointed an alleged Pyu Saw Htee leader, who was released from serving a prison sentence for theft, to be the administrator of Kangyigone Ward.
