The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • U Lwin Ko Latt, the Minister of Home Affairs and Immigration - NUG, met with the members of Special Operation Force, who will go serve at the frontline and encouraged them. He also equipped them with weapons.
  • In Los Angeles in the United States, there was an event themed the 14th Citizen of Burma on Sunday. Reportedly, the Minister of Health and Education- NUG delivered a speech.
  • At 10:00 am Tuesday, the NUG International Aid Coordination Commission conducted a meeting.
  • The Interim Chin National Consultative Council (ICNCC) announced that over 2,700 houses, 180 schools and religious buildings had been damaged by Cyclone Mocha in Chin State.
  • At 3:00 pm Monday, there was a meeting between the Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration- NUG and Township People’s Administration from Sagaing Region.

Revolutionary Activities

  • In Yay Township of Mon State, the junta armed forces have been invading the neighbourhood of local villages where revolutionary forces are based. Reportedly, there were battles for two consecutive days.
  • In Dawei Township of Taninthayi Region, there were mine attacks on the junta army in Anyarphya Village at about 7:00 pm on Saturday.
  • In Yangon Region, the revolutionary forces protested against the Chinese Government in cooperation with the military junta, hanging a banner at a bridge- ‘China, respect Myanmar people’s voice! Stop supporting fascist criminals!’.
  • In Paungty Township in Bago Region, U Than Naing, a hundred-household leader and a Pyusawti trainee in Nyaungnibin Village, was shot at 1:30 am Monday.
  • In Ayeyarwady Region, a rally of Kyankhine Township conducted an anti-junta movement on Monday morning.
  • In Yinmabin of Sagaing Region, Ye Yint Kyaw, a soldier from the junta army based in town, defected to the District PDF Regiment (29) at about 3:00 am on Monday.
  • In Yinmabin Township, a combined rally of Yinmabin and Salingyi repaired the road damaged by Cyclone Mocha.
  • On Tuesday morning, a rally of Yinmabin North marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Sagaing Township, two local people including a child lost their lives while running away from the invasion of the junta army.
  • In Magwe Region, there was an attack on 4 junta soldiers demanding money at a junta gate. Reportedly, two of them were seriously injured.
  • In Myaing Township, there was a bomb attack via drone on Linkataw Police Station.
  • In Myaing Township, there was an attack via drone and projectiles on Kanni Pyusawti Militia village.
  • In Dimawso Township of Kayah State, the Rural Land provided displaced women with personal and healthcare products.
  • According to New Light of Intelligence Research Institute, the military junta has conducted 1,427 air attacks on civilians since the coup for over two years. Reportedly, 634 people have lost their lives.
  • In Taungtha Township of Mandalay Region, there was an attack on the junta army carrying out security at Chinese gas pipeline on Monday night.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • In Mu Township under control of the Karen National Union Brigade (3), the junta army conducted bomb attacks via drone on Naunggone Village. Reportedly, people’s houses and schools were burnt to ashes.
  • Somewhere in Karenni State, there are 246 students at a self-help school. Reportedly, Shan South Revolutionary Forces built a school building.

The Military Council

  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing assured that the election would be held without fail and power would be transferred.
  • In the area under the control of KNU Brigade (1), the junta armed forces have been destroying rural streets by using backhoes.
  • The military junta sentenced four members of the Kalay General Strike in Sagaing Region to two-years imprisonment
  • According to the junta Customs Department, online payment can be made to them via online banking and internet banking for custom clearance procedures starting on 23 May.
  • The military junta stated that the restoration of Kambawza Thadi Palace is to be carried out in accordance with historical records and archaeological remains.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing claimed that he would join hands with anyone who would do good for the country.
