The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • Dr. Zaw Wai Soe, Union Minister of Health and Education-NUG, said that in his business trips to other countries, he had received promises of support for the health and education sectors.
  • To uproot the junta armed forces, Western Headquarters Brigade (703) would establish a special commando force. They also called for contributions to weapons.
  • Man Win Khine Than, Union Prime Minister of the NUG and Chair of Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration, said that there had been good outcomes from the meetings with State Consultative Councils in addition to administration of special areas.
  • According to the NUG PVTV, pro-military people released a false statement on Facebook and Telegram under the pretence of the Ministry of Defence-NUG on Thursday afternoon.
  • The NUG announced that they would soon start their pilot project of NUG Pay with the best and safest services which would be free from the control of the military junta.
  • Union Minister of Communication, Information and Technology-NUG said that members of People’s Defence Forces-PDFs were to take caution in the use of walkie-talkies.

Revolution Activities

  • Stéphane Dujarric, Spokesperson of the United Nations Secretary General, expressed their special concerns about the transfer of State Counsellor Daw Aung San Su Kyi to Nay Pyi Taw Prison.
  • In Tamu Township of Sagaing Region, there was a mine attack on the junta army on Thursday. Reportedly, junta soldiers arrested and ruthlessly killed 3 young villagers.
  • On Friday, Kalay General Strike led a protest against the military dictatorship.
  • In Tamu Township, the junta army raided Yanlinhai Village and set fire to the public’s houses on Thursday. They also killed 2 local people.
  • In Dibeyin Township, a combined rally of rural community marched against the military dictatorship on Friday.
  • In Salingyi Township, the junta armed forces have been ill-treating more than 30 people in Tone Village. According to local residents, there were some casualties due to the gunfire of junta soldiers.
  • As a 470-day protest, a combined rally of villages from Salingyi and Yinmabin marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship on Friday morning.
  • On Friday morning, the junta army with invasion to the border of Shwebo and Dibeyin shot at 2 people from Seikkun Village. Reportedly, one of the villagers died. The junta soldiers then proceeded to Htoogyi Village and set fire to houses.
  • In Khin-U Township, a contingent of 70 junta soldiers set fire to Bao Village on Thursday. Reportedly, they were attacked by local PDFs. According to RTGF, no less than 5 junta soldiers died.
  • In Chaung-U, 2 people in town were hit with mortars shot by the junta army and lost their lives. Reportedly, 4 other townspeople were injured as well.
  • On Friday, Mandalay Monks’ Union conducted an anti-junta movement, reciting Parittas.
  • On Thursday, Red Wolves Of Mogok announced that they would take action against those under the pretence of the PDFs blackmailing the townspeople.
  • In Myaing Township of Magwe Region, the junta armed forces raided 13 local villages in June. Reportedly, they set fire to 85 houses in 2 villages.
  • In Pwint Phyu Township, the junta army attacked a car carrying PDF members on Wednesday morning. Reportedly, Officer Min Paing Soe from the junta cotton planting army led the attack. Consequently, his family and relatives moved elsewhere for security reasons.
  • In Hpakant Township of Kachin State, a combined rally of Lonekhine gems miners expressed their objection to the military dictatorship on Friday, holding signs for participation in the revolution.
  • In Taunggyi of Shan South, there was a bomb explosion near Myoma Market at 2:00 pm Friday.
  • In Myeik of Taninthayi Region, the junta army arrested a young truck driver at 11:00 am Wednesday.
  • In Longlone Township, the junta armed forces arrested more than 10 people from 2 villages for no apparent reason and took them away.
  • In Kawthaung, one of the junta administrators was shot dead in Ayeyaitnyein Ward on Thursday.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • The very first courses of Mon National College led by the Mon National Education Committee began on Wednesday.
  • In Kutkhine of Shan North, the TNLA prohibited No. (2) Middle School from opening on Friday.
  • In Katha Township of Sagaing Region, there were battles between the junta armed forces and a combined force of KIA + PDFs in June. Reportedly, 61 junta soldiers died.

The Military Council

  • In Mawlamyeingyung Township of Ayeyarwaddy Region, those who had run away with political charges contacted the township police office and sought legal protection, according to the junta media.
  • The junta propaganda leader Zaw Min Tun said that State Counsellor Daw Aung San Su Kyi had been sent to prison as the courts had reached verdicts for her charges on 22 June.
  • According to the junta media, Dr. Myo Aung, U Ye Min Oo and U Min Thu were sentenced to prison with corruption charges on Wednesday.
  • The junta propaganda media stated that due to an air attack via drone by local PDF in Myaing Township of Magwe Region, a 5-month old baby and a woman died, and another twin baby and 3 family members were injured.
  • According to the military junta, the junta Chief Minister of Kayin State supported text books and exercise books for the children of Myanmar migrant workers in Mae Sot in Thailand.
  • In the regional government meeting, the junta Minister of Electricity asked for security help from the junta Chief Minister of Yangon Region to be able to fully collect the debt of electricity bills in the city.
  • In Sittway of Rakhine State, the Arakan Army arrested a captain and a soldier from the junta army. Reportedly, junta soldiers arrested civilians in response.
  • On Friday afternoon, the junta armed forces arrested a young man with projectiles in the compound of Thiri Mingala Housing in Mandalay.

Summary on 24 June

  • Giving incentives and privileges to some journalists, the military junta has been carrying out propaganda activities via social media. On such media, there have been frequent publications defaming the revolution and revolutionists.
  • In Rakhine State, the military tension has heightened. Even in towns, the junta armed forces opened gunfire for no apparent reason. Consequently, the tension might flare up anytime.
  • As for Sagaing, Magwe, Chin, Karenni, Kayin and Kachin, they had clashes on a daily basis. Due to guerrilla attacks by revolution forces, the junta army had a great loss. In response, junta soldiers have been committing war crimes in the areas with not very strong PDFs by burning villages and killing civilians.
