The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • In a government meeting on Tuesday, the NUG Acting President stated that it was time to upturn the main root, rather than attack the junta pillars, in 2023.
  • According to the NUG Ministry of Health it conducted medical check-ups on revolutionaries somewhere on the frontline of the area under Karen National Union Brigade (KNU) 6.
  • Under the guidance of the NUG, there was a funfair, along with prize-giving ceremony, at a school in Yinmabin Township in Sagaing Region on Sunday.
  • An NUG spokesperson from the Union Prime Minister’s Office stated that they had made a one-year plan to end the revolution by uprooting the military dictatorship. He added that they would raise the momentum of the revolution in the new year.
  • At 2:00 pm on Monday, there was a meeting between the NUG Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration and the District Public Administration.
  • In a meeting with local public administration teams, the Union Minister, U Lwin Ko Latt, claimed that the revolution has gained international support and there will soon be practical help.
  • According to the NUG Ministry of Human Rights, the Ponnagyun-based junta army Unit (550) and the Sittway-based Unit (344) raided Hsin Ingyi Village in Ponnagyun Township in Rakhine State on 10 November. Reportedly, they killed 10 local people and burnt seven houses.
  • The Union Minister of Information, Communication and Technology stated that junta soldiers are afraid of bomb attacks from drones.

Revolutionary Activities

  • U Han Tha Nyein, the co-founder of Kamayut Media and Chief Editor, was sentenced to another five years in prison under section 33 (A) of the electronic communications law.
  • In Monywa Township in Sagaing Region, there was a mine attack on the junta army near Swam Yi Htet gas station. Reportedly, two junta soldiers died.
  • In Butalin Township, there was fighting between the junta army and local PDFs. Reportedly, there were casualties among 20 junta soldiers.
  • On their 656th day of protest, a combined rally of students and the public from Salingyi and Yinmabin marched against the military dictatorship on Tuesday. They also saluted Ko Chan Myay Kyaw, one of the martyrs, at his tomb.
  • On Tuesday, a rally in Yinmabin North marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship.
  • At a community-based school, the Butalin Township Students’ Union held a photo exhibition of photos from the Spring Revolution.
  • In Yinmabin Township, a rally of local people marched for the end of the military dictatorship and the restoration of democracy on Tuesday morning, chanting anti-junta slogans.
  • In Shwetaung Township in Bago Region, there was a mine attack on the junta army gate in Ywatha Village on Tuesday.
  • Ko Aung Kyaw Khant, a member of Basic Education Students’ Union who was arrested in Mandalay on 5 June, was sentenced to 15 years in prison under Section 50 (J) of the anti-terrorism law at the junta court inside Obo Prison on Monday.
  • In Kachin State, a rally of Hpakant gems miners led a public march against the military dictatorship on Tuesday.
  • At a township court inside Insein Prison, a group of political prisoners made fun of the judge by giving him a puppet at their trial on Monday.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • In the neighborhood of Kawkareik in Kayin State, fighting between the junta army and a combination of Karen forces continued.
  • According to the Karen National Union (KNU), they have been joining hands with women’s rights organisations in the revolution against the military dictatorship.
  • In an interview with Irrawaddy, the Chair of the Karenni National Defence Force (KNDF) stated that they had been preparing to open a military university, a medical university and other vocational training for IDPs.
  • In Kawkareik Township in Kayin State, there was a battle on Tuesday morning. Reportedly, the junta army made fired from military helicopters.

The Military Council

  • On Tuesday, the junta Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its strong condemnation against the adoption of the US National Defence Authorization Act (NDAA).
  • According to Yangon-based philanthropic organisations, the military junta included them in the Union Election Commission by force and said they would compile voter lists without getting consent from them.
  • The junta Yangon Regional Government announced that Pyi Road in front of the People’s Park would be temporarily closed on the morning of the 75th Independence Day.
  • The junta Deputy Minister of Trade and Commerce said that the economic growth in Myanmar was over 3% after the first six months.
  • According to the junta Ministry of Trade and Commerce, the taxation was taken in Yuan, instead of Myanmar Kyats, for the export of bananas to China via Kanpiteti trade camp.
  • The military junta announced that the five ethnic armed organizations who signed the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) had joined a junta meeting to amend the Constitution.
