The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • In the monthly summary on battles and casualties by No. (1) Military Region, Ministry of Defence-NUG stated that there had been 415 battles in April 2023, killing 527 enemies and leaving 801 others injured.
  • In Perth of Australia, the Union Minister of Human Rights-NUG met with the local MPs at the Parliament Building and discussed Myanmar’s affairs on 22 May.

Revolution Activities

  • In Netherlands, Myanmar people expressed their desire in front of the Foreign Ministry and the International Court of Justice to take action against Myanmar’s military junta.
  • The World Health Organization stated that they had suspended the decision for Myanmar’s representation at the WHO Conference, which would be held in Geneva of Switzerland.
  • In Latbadan Township of Bago Region, there has been tight inspection recently, along with frequent checks on motorbikes and phones.
  • In Dike-Oo Township, 20 political prisoners from Kyaik Zakaw were taken for interrogation. Among them, Ko Thant Zin Win was killed.
  • In the first week of June, there would be the hearing at Union Supreme Court for the appeals related to 10 charges against the Mayor and the Second Mayor of Nay Pyi Taw in the administration of the NLD government.
  • In Thabaitgyin Township of Mandalay Region, local PDF issued an emergency statement that any vehicles on Mandalay-Bamaw Road Section are to temporarily stop where they are.
  • In Tada-U Township, 5 members of Union Solidarity and Development Party were shot dead on Friday night.
  • In Madayar Township, a junta traffic police sergeant was shot dead.
  • Somewhere on Monywa-Mandalay Road Section, the junta army lost 5 soldiers in a mine clearance operation.
  • In the south of Kalay Township in Sagaing Region, there was a mine attack on the junta army, killing 17 soldiers.
  • On Sunday, a rally of Yinmabin North marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Dibeyin Township, the S&C provided the IDPs with tarpaulins on Saturday.
  • In Chaung-U Township, there was a mine attack on the junta army on their way for a mine clearance operation. Reportedly, 5 junta soldiers including an officer died.
  • In Kalay Township, the junta army fired mortars into Tharyargone Village. Consequently, 4 local people including a child aged 3 were injured.
  • In Myinmu Township, there was a mine attack on 2 military cars. Reportedly, both vehicles were damaged.
  • The Norway Refugee Council warned that the reduction in food provisions to Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh would pose a danger to the lives of the refugees.
  • In Pauk Township of Magwe Region, the junta army set fire to Pyitte Village.
  • In Yesagyo Township, the junta army shot mortars into an IDP Camp. Reportedly, 2 people lost their lives in the incident. Besides, the junta soldiers arrested women including injured ones.
  • In Taninthayi Township of Taninthayi Region, a combined rally of revolution forces and local people marched against the military dictatorship on Sunday.
  • In Pulaw Township, the junta armed force wildly shot mortars without any local battle. Consequently, a woman lost her life whereas a man and a child aged 3 were injured.
  • In Beelin Township of Mon State, the junta army fired mortars into Daught Village, killing 2 teenagers.
  • In Japan, football fans organized a fund-raising football match on Sunday for the Spring Revolution.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • The Chin Defence Force announced that those who support CDF Mindat financially must contribute directly to CDF Central Fund-Raising Committee.
  • In Mindat Township of Chin State, local CDF attacked with heavy artillery on the junta stations.
  • On Sunday, Kachin Independence Organization and Palaung State Liberation Front agreed to 5 points including the one for the fight against the military dictatorship.
  • In Mobye on the border of Shan State and Karenni State, the junta army conducted attacks via fighter jets and long-range projectiles. Consequently, a child lost their life and 8 people were injured.

The Military Council

  • In East Dagon of Yangon Region, the junta army raided the house of composer Sayar Naing Myanmar at about 2:30 pm Saturday and arrested his wife.
  • In Kawthaung Township of Taninthayi Region, the junta army arrested over 20 local people, accusing them of helping the PDFs. Although they released some of them, they shot dead 8 others including the one under 18 during interrogation.
  • In Yinmabin Township of Sagaing Region, Ko Htwe, a member of the militia, was found dead with grenade wounds in his house on Sunday morning.
  • In Moscow, Russia, a junta delegation led by General Yar Pyay attended the 11th meeting of high-ranking officers on security affairs.
  • According to the junta Rakhine State Government, over 100 mobile stations, which had been damaged by Cyclone Mocha, were repaired.
  • In the meeting of the MSME Central Committee, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that the misuse of capital in business sector could make a loss for the country.

Summary on 29 May

  • The junta armed forces have been wildly shooting mortars in Sagaing, Mon, Taninthayi, Kayin and Karenni states and regions. Consequently, there have been casualties among civilians, including women and children.
  • With prejudice, the military junta has been arresting anti-army people, political activists, revolution supporters and anti-junta youth. They have been violating human rights even by taking out the prisoners and killing them outside of prison.
