The National Unity Government (NUG) 

  • For the students who have passed the matriculation exam and do not attend universities under the military junta, they can reportedly join the New Myanmar University recognized by the NUG. 
  • Union Prime Minister of the NUG stated that it was necessary for the current government and the transformational one to provide the best healing to the victims after the revolution. 
  • Reportedly, there was a meeting between the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration and Extended Public Administration Teams. 
  • Minister of Human Rights-NUG claimed that after the military coup led by Min Aung Hlaing, violations of human rights reared their heads again in the country. 
  • According to the fire department under the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration-NUG, 4,182 houses were burnt all over the country in November and most of them were in the Sagaing Region. 

Revolution Activities 

  • In Shwebo Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army set fire to Hsin Inn Village for the third time. 
  • In Htigyaint Township, the junta army set fire to Letha Village for two days. Reportedly, more than 200 houses were burnt to ashes. 
  • As a 631-day protest, a combined rally of local villages from Yinmabin and Salingyi marched against the military dictatorship on Friday. 
  • In Salingyi Township, an alliance of 26 local PDFs attacked a fleet of 11 army vessels on the Chindwin River. 
  • As a 631-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Friday.
  • According to Khit Thit, the military junta gave the death penalty to 10 students and youth, including 7 students from Dagon University, on Wednesday alone. 
  • In Myinmu Township, Natoegyi PDF attacked the junta army stationed in Taingpan Village. Reportedly, 10 junta soldiers, including 2 captains, died. 
  • In Pulaw Township of Taninthayi Region, local PDF attacked the junta army camp in Htamin Masar Village on Thursday noon. After exchanges of fire, 7 junta soldiers died and no less than 4 others were injured. 
  • Malaysian Foreign Minister claimed that they would not support the junta’s election to be held next year in Myanmar. 

Ethnic Armed Organizations 

  • The KIA stated again that they would no longer allow the junta army to station or transport weapons in the area controlled by Kachin Independence Army-KIA Brigade (9). 
  • In Karenni State, there were 28 battles in November. According to the Karenni National Defence Force, 43 junta soldiers died and 3 others were injured. 
  • In Dimawso Township, Karenni Revolution Union regained control of Konetha Village and Tesule Village under the military junta. 
  • In Rakhine State with a temporary ceasefire between the junta army and Arakan Army-AA, AA members helped local people harvest the paddy fields. 
  • In Hsipaw Township of Shan North, there was a fighting between the junta army and SSPP/SSA. Reportedly, over 700 local residents had to run away. 

The Military Council 

  • According to a member of the junta Union Election Commission, they carried out population checks from February to May 2022. He added that based on the lists, they did the monthly check-up. 
  • According to the Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo, they will charge more for the extension of ordinary Myanmar passports as the value of the Japanese Yen was on the rise. 
  • The junta propaganda media stated that they had arrested people who were planning to rob a KBZ Bank branch.  
  • The junta propaganda media claimed that over 400 people had returned to Flu, Kyaukkat, Thaybawboe and Wawlay Area as well as to local villages along Myawaddy-Wawlay Road up to 1 December. 
  • The second day of the very first Russia-Myanmar Joint Committee on Anti-Terrorism continued at the Hilton Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw. 

Summary on 2 December 

  • Despite a ceasefire between the junta army and Arakan Army, there were battles again against the forces of the Northern Alliance. 
  • To escape from political and military hardships, the military junta has been arranging to hold an election without the will of the public. On the other hand, the international community expressed their lack of support for such an election.
