The National Unity Government (NUG)

 

  • With regard to the human rights violations of the military junta against the MPs elected in 2020 by unlawful arrests, unfair lawsuits and brutal treatments until death in interrogation, Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) released a statement.
  • In the policy on the Interim Administration, the NUG stated that natural and cultural rights of ethnic people as well as their symbols throughout the country would be protected and promoted.
  • As for those who will buy the NUG bonds in August, they will receive postcards signed by the Acting President together with his words of appreciation.
  • According to Minister of Foreign Affairs-NUG, there will be public events for the pledge of the revolution all over the country on Sunday.

Revolution Activities

  • On Saturday, there was a protest in Melbourne, Australia against the junta’s executions.
  • In Seoul of South Korea, Myanmar people marched against the military junta for their unlawful execution of democracy activists at 4:00 pm Saturday.
  • Via social media, Malaysian Minister of Foreign Affairs stated that the junta’s execution of four democracy activists was crime against humanity.
  • In Gantgaw Township of Magwe Region, 3 members of the junta police were shot while shopping. Reportedly, two of them died and another one was injured.
  • According to the US Foreign Ministry, the crisis of Myanmar would be discussed in the US-ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting which will be held in Cambodia.
  • In Kyauktada Township of Yangon Region, there was a bomb explosion near the entrance to the municipal department. Reportedly, three ambulances arrived there.
  • In Hleku Township, Aung Kant Min, captain from the junta army Ka-Ma-Ya (709) who had withdrawn salaries for junta soldiers in their unit, was shot dead. Reportedly, the money worth of over 200 lakh MMK was taken away by the gunmen and the junta soldiers did not get their salaries.
  • On Saturday afternoon, an alliance of Shwebo Defence Force confiscated a fuel oil truck of Denko, one of the pillars of the military junta.
  • In Myinmu Township of Sagaing Region, a car with junta police and Pyusawti was attacked with mines by local PDF at 9:15 am Saturday. Reportedly, 4 members of the junta armed forces died.
  • In Butalin Township, the junta administrator of Kawegyin Village, his wife and one of their security guards were shot dead.
  • According to Salingyi Township Information and Communication Team, they will conduct a Raindrop Campaign to raise funds for the rehabilitation of local villages which have been burnt by the junta armed forces.
  • As a 506-day protest, a combined rally of Salingyi North and Yinmabin East marched against the military dictatorship on Saturday.
  • In Hpakant Township of Kachin State, a rally of the Lonekhine Group marched for the downfall of the military dictatorship on Saturday.
  • In Bago, anti-junta protesters tried to paint the words - ‘Only justice will win’ on the road. But for security reasons, they could not finish it.
  • In Naungcho Township and Pyin Oo Lwin Township, Mandalay PDF attacked the junta army invading the areas. Reportedly, a large number of junta soldiers died and many others ran away in fear.
  • In Myingyan Township of Mandalay Region, Kyaw Zin Tun, the second sergeant serving as the bodyguard of the junta administrator in Sanpya Village, was shot dead by Natoegyi PDF on Friday. Reportedly, two guns and bullets were confiscated.
  • In Phyapone of Ayeyarwaddy Region, there was a bomb explosion near the guesthouse of the junta general administration department at about 11:00 am Saturday.
  • In Myanaung Township, a village administrator has been conducting gambling events by bribing 200,000 MMK the township police officer on a daily basis.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In Tantalan Township of Chin State, the very first interim exam was successfully conducted by the Interim Public Education Department in the areas under control of Chin National Front and Chin Defence Forces. Reportedly, more than 7000 students took part in it.
  • In Banmauk Township of Sagaing Region, a combined force of Kachin Independence Army-KIA and local PDF attacked the junta army invading the area at about 11:00 am Friday.
  • In Chin State, renovation got started for Thee Myit Bridge between Hakha and Tantalan. Reportedly, the military tension heightened there between the junta army and local CDF.

The Military Council

  • The junta propaganda leader Zaw Min Tun said that although they had enough foreign currency reserves, they were careful with the sale of dollars just for the sectors of fuel oil and edible oil.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that the rule of law got better than that of 2021 and the country became peaceful.
  • According to the junta propaganda leader Zaw Min Tun, the junta emergency period would end in July and it would be extended to 6 more months through the meeting of the National Defence and Security Council.
  • According to the junta YUPT, the fare has been doubled for some YBS buses.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing said that the international community was trying to isolate Myanmar.
  • The junta leader repeated that due to the political instability based on the 2020 election result, the military had to take responsibility in accordance with the Constitution.

  • The international community put more pressure on the military junta for their unlawful execution of democracy activists. On the other hand, the dictators told lies in public that they had to take responsibility due to the result of the 2020 election. In fact, the country has been in chaos because of their coup.
  • Throughout the country, the public have been against the military junta in various sectors, especially after the junta’s execution of four political prisoners.
