The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • According to the NUG Ministry of Defence, there was an attack with two 40mm grenades at Tawlan Village Police Station in Kunchangone Township in Yangon Region on Wednesday morning.

He also called for the commitment of all the ministries involved in the interim administration.
  • U Kyaw Moe Tun, Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, called on the international community to not allow any more inhumane activities by the military junta in Myanmar.
  • On Wednesday, the Interim Chin National Consultative Council (ICNCC) announced that they had reached an agreement with the NUG Ministry of Health for healthcare and human resources sector in Chin State.

Revolutionary Activities

  • Members of the US Upper House of Representatives said that the United States would resolve Myanmar’s crisis if ASEAN fail to do so.
  • On Thursday, E Toe, son of famous vocalist Zaw Win Htut, was sentenced to three years in prison at the junta special court inside Insein Prison.
  • On Wednesday, there was a prayer event for the four victims of the junta’s execution at Václavské náměstí (Wenceslas Square ) in Czech Republic.
  • Mitch McConnell, member of the US Upper House and Republican leader, said that they would carry out sanctions against Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise (MOGE) to cut off financial resources for the junta army in Myanmar.
  • In Myanmar, there have been heavy battles between the junta armed forces and local defence forces/ ethnic armed organizations. According to United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs on Wednesday, the military junta restricted the transportation of food and medicines to the areas with such conflicts.
  • In Insein Township in Yangon Region, the administrator of Painnegone Ward, who had been involved in the riots at Ko Jimmy’s house, was shot dead.
  • In Minkin Township in Sagaing Region, local PDFs attacked junta motorboats carrying Pyu Saw Htee members somewhere on the Chindwin River at about 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
  • On Thursday, a rally of Western Chindwin marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Yinmabin North, a combined rally of three villages protested against the military dictatorship on Thursday.
  • On their 511th day of protest, a combined rally of villagers from Salingyi and Yinmabin marched for the end of the military dictatorship on Thursday.
  • In Hpakant in Kachin State, the townspeople showed their support for the KIA, PDF and NUG on Thursday. They also protested against the military dictatorship.
  • In Mon State, a young passer-by was hit with a bullet and died when police officers from Lamai Police Station indiscriminately fired their weapons.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • According to the Arakan Liberation Party, one of their EC members- Khine Paw Linn was arrested by Arakan Army (AA).
  • In Karenni State, 12 junta soldiers were killed by the snipers’ unit of Midland Special Operation in July.
  • In Chin State, there has been an ongoing fighting near Thimyit Stream in the area between Hakha and Tantalan. on Wednesday. Three junta soldiers died.

The Military Council

  • According to the junta Ministry of Health, they allowed the transfer of 306 students from other universities to medical ones.
  • The junta Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its concern related to the trip of the US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, which heightened tension in the Taiwan Strait. They also expressed their objection the trip could cause instability in the region and that it was an act of interference in China's internal affairs.
  • The military junta stated that they had charged Kubota, a Japanese documentary maker, under Section 13 (1) of the immigration law and Section 505 (a) for defaming the state.
  • According to the junta Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Foreign Minister of Russia donated Monkey Pox Test Kits to Myanmar.
  • The junta Director General said that the Ministry of Immigration and Population would hire an international consultant to collect the population and household census.
  • The junta propaganda media stated that Foreign Minister of Russia would discuss the use of Mir Car, a Russian payment method.
  • On 1 August, the Arakan Army (AA) arrested a sergeant from Ma-I Police Station in Taungkok in Rakhine State. After the incident, the junta army inspected the townspeople.
  • In Kayan in Yangon Region, there was an argument among junta soldiers on Monday. Reportedly, one of them died.
  • In Myeik and Dawei, the curfew was put in force again as there have been guerrilla attacks on the junta armed forces in recent days.
  • On 1 August, the junta Shan State Administration banned gatherings of five or more people in Taunggyi.
