Trade between Myanmar and Vietnam tops US$70.5. million

Trade between Myanmar and Vietnam topped US$70.5 million in April in the current 2018-2019 Fiscal Year, a slight increase in value by $5.5 million, or 8.5 per cent, from that of last April, according to state media.

In the month of April, bilateral export reached $12.67 million, while bilateral imports stood at nearly $57.92 million. Compared with last April, the value of bilateral exports rose by $3.5 million, whereas there was an increase of $2.03 million in bilateral imports.

Myanmar chiefly exports minerals, agricultural, forest and marine products to Vietnam, importing food, auto parts, computer and related accessories, construction materials, steel, plastics, pharmaceuticals, and other chemical products from the Southeast Asian country.
