Twenty military troops killed in Yinmarbin PDF bombing

As a result of mining a road in Yinmarbin in Sagaing, two Myanmar military vehicles were hit resulting in the death of 20 Military Council troops, according to a Yinmarbin PDF source.

At around 2 pm on 12 August, Yinmarbin PDF bombed a convoy of five military vehicles returning from the Pearl area at the Folwintaung branch in Yinmarpin District in Sagaing Division in central Myanmar. A total of seven mines were detonated, two of the mines hitting two military vehicles.

"Two of the five military vehicles returning from the West Pearl township were hit by mines. Shortly after they had been mined, they opened fire blindly,” said an official from Yingmarpin PDF. No one from Yinmarpin PDF was killed or injured in the bombing.
