Two bombs detonated at government premises in Yangon’s Insein Township

The Generation-Z Defense Force & Supply Army guerrilla force detonated remote-controlled bombs in two locations in Yangon city’s Insein Township on the night of 9 November.

The group detonated the first bomb at the government housing in a Prisons Department compound on the Bayin Naung Road, in Insein Township’s Ywar Ma West Ward at 9:50 pm. A fire broke out, but there are no details of the damage or casualties caused by the explosion.

The second bomb was detonated at 9:55 p.m. at the Nantharkone Ward Administration Office in Insein Township’s Nantharkone Ward.

A representative of Generation-Z Defense Force & Supply Army said: "There were police officers inside the Nantharkone ward administration office when it was blown up. The administration office may have minor damage. Because it supports the Military Council, the government housing in the Prison Department's compound was attacked.”

All of the organisation's fighters were able to safely escape the scene of the explosions without suffering any injuries.

Generation-Z Defense Force & Supply Army also issued a warning to the public telling them to avoid military council supporters, security gates, and patrolling vehicles.

Mizzima is still investigating to find out more details about the damage caused in the attack.
