UN rights chief Michelle Bachelet visited Rohingya camps in Bangladesh on Tuesday, meeting with residents of the sprawling and squalid relief settlements housing nearly a million ethnic Rohingya who fled persecution in neighbouring Myanmar. "All of them have said 'we want to go back but we want to go back when we have an identity as citizens of Myanmar, when our rights are respected'", said Bachelet. Bachelet is on a four-day visit to Bangladesh before her term as UN High Commissioner for Human Rights ends later this month. She is the first UN rights chief to visit Bangladesh.
