139 new COVID-19 cases reported

The number of COVID-19 cases in Myanmar has risen to 144,456 on Monday after 139 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours, according to a release from the Ministry of Health and Sports, Xinhua reported.

Two new deaths were reported on Monday, bringing the death toll to 3,227 in the country, the release said.

According to the ministry's figures, a total of 132,525 patients have been discharged from hospitals and over 2.63 million samples have been tested for COVID-19 so far, including 2,216 samples tested on Monday.
