The National Unity Government (NUG)

· The NUG stated that if the public continues to fight unitedly against the military dictatorship, they will be able to create a modern National Victory Day.

· Federal Wings announced that they had participated in local battles to seize Mone Town in Bago Region as the aerial operation team under the Karen National Union/ Karen National Liberation Army.

· According to the Ministry of Women, Youth and Children’s Affairs- NUG, the PDF members in Myaung Township of Sagaing Region took part in a movement commemorating the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

· In a statement to the 103rd National Victory Day, the Committee Representing the Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) stated that it would join hands with all the people and revolutionary forces to be able to establish a federal democratic union.

· At 1:00 pm Wednesday, there was a meeting between the Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration-NUG and Township People’s Administration from Mandalay Region and Magwe Region.

· According to Kawlin Township People’s Administration, people’s administrative teams have been set up in four wards for the smooth administration of the area.

· According to a focal person of the Tamu District People’s Administration, 6 PDF members were arrested by the junta army in Kampat Township. Reportedly, four of them were killed and two others escaped.

Revolutionary Activities

· At the 103rd National Victory Day on Thursday morning, the Mandalay Strike Committee conducted an anti-junta movement, holding signs saying ‘Let’s keep fighting for the forgotten heroes’.

· In Naypyi Taw or the headquarters of the military junta, some petrol stations have had to close. In addition, buyers have had to queue at the open petrol stations for a long time. They have also had to pay around 6,000MMK per liter at roadside retailers.

· In Yesagyo Township of Magwe Region, 3 junta soldiers were shot on their way out of the junta army Ka-La-Ya (258). Reportedly, one of them died and a gun was confiscated along with related weapons.

· On Wednesday, Tom Andrews, the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Myanmar, called on the members of the United Nations to stop the flow of weapons to the military dictators at the time of increasingly heavy battles in Myanmar.

· In Mandalay, passport applicants have to pay up to 400,000MMK to get a spot in the queue to enter the passport office. Reportedly, some of them hired others to queue there.

· Due to ongoing fighting around Kawkarait Township in Kayin State, townspeople trapped in the town would like to get out as soon as possible.

· At about 6:00 pm Wednesday, there was a bomb attack via drone on the junta police station on the corner of U Aung Zay Ya Street in Myawaddy on the Thai-Myanmar border.

· In Salingyi Township of Sagaing Region, there was an anti-junta march on the Pathein-Monywa Road on Thursday morning, in memory of the 10 PDF members who lost their lives two years ago.

· In Thayetchaung Township of Tanintharyi Region, there was a mine attack on a junta convoy.

· In Shwebo Township, Fire Dragon attacked the junta soldiers and Pyusawti members who had come from Myinsi Village. Reportedly, there were casualties among junta members.

· In Salingyi Township, the General Strike Committee of the villages on Chindwin River Banks marched against the military dictatorship at a local market on Thursday morning to commemorate the 103rd National Victory Day.

· In Monywa Township, there was an attack on the junta’s Karkin Camp at Northwest Military Headquarters. Reportedly, 3 junta soldiers died and a gun was confiscated.

· In Salingyi Township, a combined rally, in cooperation with families, conducted a red salute to the 10 PDF members who lost their lives. They also protested against the military dictatorship.

· On the 103rd National Victory Day, young revolutionaries carried out an anti-junta movement in Mandalay.

· Burmese Rohingya Organisation UK – BROUK applied to the Argentina Court for international warrants to arrest Min Aung Hlaing and 6 personnel responsible for the genocide of Rohingya people in Rakhine State.

Ethnic Armed Organisations (EAOs)

· In the Kawthoolei Administrative Area under the Karen National Union, 19 junta soldiers including the deputy commander gave up their arms in the battle to seize Mone Town. According to KNU Central, a large number of weapons were confiscated.

· The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) gained complete control of all the junta camps in the east of Lauk Kaing in Northern Shan State. Reportedly, there are only the four junta camps left in the Kokang Area.

· In Tilin Township of Magwe Region, there was a battle between the Arakan Army (AA) and the junta army in Yemyetni Village.

· In Moenyin Township and Shweku Township of Kachin State, a combined force of the Kachin Independence Army and PDFs seized two junta army camps in early December.

· In Bago Region, the junta army conducted aerial attacks targeting civilians in battles to seize the town of Mone. According to KNU Central, over 60,000 people from 85 villages have had to run away.

The Military Council

· In the junta propaganda newspapers, it was mentioned that the public need not buy more than necessary. Additionally, they said that there has been no shortage of fuel oil in the country.

· At a time of heavy fighting between the junta army and the revolutionary forces in Chin State, Shan State and Sagaing Region, India called on Myanmar on Wednesday to go back on the path of federal democracy.

· On Wednesday, a high-ranking Chinese diplomat claimed that China hopes Myanmar would have national reconciliation and political transformation.

· The Foreign Minister of China stated that they respect the sovereignty and territory of Myanmar all the time, and would not interfere with the home affairs of Myanmar.

· The Central Bank announced that instead of 50% of the export income, exporters are just to exchange only 35% for Myanmar Kyat under their fixed rate.

· According to the military junta, they have had enough fuel oil for local use. Moreover, three oil ships are getting ready at Thilawa and 10 others are waiting at sea to supply the respective terminals in a timely manner.

Summary on 8 December

· The military junta cannot fight back to regain the camps and towns seized by the revolutionary forces. On the other hand, people’s administrations have started in towns controlled by revolutionary forces and ward administrators have been appointed.

· On the same day, China and India urged the military junta to return to national reconciliation and political transformation. In other words, even the associates of the military dictators are putting pressure on them.
