The National Unity Government (NUG)

· According to Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration- NUG, they opened a clinic to provide healthcare to the public in Ayadaw Township of Sagaing Region.

· The Military Headquarters under the Ministry of Defence- NUG stated that Pakkoku District PDF in Magwe Region had completed their medical training Batch (1).

· Via video conferencing, the Federal Affairs Committee conducted a discussion on the nations adopting the federal system. Reportedly, a local expert U Kyaw Swar led the discussion about the Federal Republic of Nigeria with diverse languages and ethnic groups.

Revolutionary Activities

· According to the Korea Consumer Global Council, they revoked the 2023 Best Ambassador Award from Thant Cin, the junta’s Ambassador to Korea.

· The Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions decided a one-year suspension of recognition to Myanmar National Human Rights Commission serving the military junta and protecting their violence.

· In Kawkarait Township of Kayin State, there has been fighting. Consequently, local people have been facing hardships as almost all sections of Asia Road to Myawaddy are closed.

· In Pale Township of Sagaing Region, a Pyusawti member from Zee Phyu Gone Village, defected, along with their weapons, to the All Burma Students' Democratic Front (Chindwin Area).

· In Yinmabin Township, the military junta fired heavy weapons at Thanbo Village though therew was no fighting in. the area. Subsequently, three local women lost their lives.

· In the west of Pale Township, the junta army has been invading the area since Wednesday morning. Reportedly, over 10,000 local people have had to run away.

· In Longlone of Tanintharyi Region, local PDFs attacked the junta’s military security office on Wednesday morning, the fighting lasted half an hour.

· In Mandalay, most petrol shops have run out of fuel oil after the prices of petrol skyrocketed.

· In Thilawa, fuel oil vehicles have been seen in queues and the petrol shops in the Yangon Region have had nothing to sell.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

· In Chin State, the Arakan Army (AA) gained complete control of the junta’s Paletwa Tayon-I Strategic Hill Camp. They then continued their offensive at the junta’s Hnu Buu Strategic Camp.

· According to the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA), they took control of the junta army camp at Lemyetnar Stupa Hill, which will help them control Lauk Kaing; the capital of the Kokang Self-Administered Zone in Northern Shan State.

· In Kyaukme Township and Namkham Township in Northern Shan State, the Ta’ang National Liberation Army took control of another two junta camps on Tuesday night.

· According to the Three Brotherhood Alliance on Wednesday, 27 civilians lost their lives and 104 others were injured in fighting in Rakhine State over more than two weeks.

· In Ponnagyun the junta army fired mortars and burnt people’s property, even though there was no fighting in the area. Reportedly, 379 shops from Myoma Market were burnt to ashes and so were over 130 houses.

· According to the Northern Alliance, the military junta has conducted attacks targeting civilians, killing 147 people in Shan North and Rakhine State from October to December. Additionally, they have carried out 9 attacks using chemical weapons.

The Military Council

· On Tuesday, the junta Central Bank announced that the market price of the foreign currency exchange rate can be freely used in online trading of the foreign currency market.

· The Karen National Union (KNU) announced that revolutionary forces had gained control of all the junta army camps based in Mone Town of Kyaukgyi Township in Bago Region. The following day, the junta propaganda team claimed that they had regained control of the town.

· Myanmar and Bangladesh discussed the repatriation of refugees from Rakhine State.

· Myanmar and Russia signed the agreements and memorandum of understandings (MOUs) for bilateral cooperation.

· On Tuesday morning, the junta Ministry of Home Affairs and the Security Council of Russia had a ministerial meeting on law enforcement and security cooperation at MICC II in Naypyi Taw.

Summary on 7 December

· With tight control on the finances of the public and businesses, the military junta has overspent US Dollars on military expenditure. Consequently, it has had to order business people to import fuel oil under their own schemes. It has been followed by a shortage of petrol. In other words, they might have very little foreign currency in reserve.

· The revolution still has great momentum. The revolutionary forces might be able to take control of more towns and cities. At a time of fuel oil shortages, the military junta might not be able to give the support of air attacks. In other words, the last days of the military dictators could come very soon.
