2,590 new COVID-19 infections reported

Myanmar reported 2,590 new COVID-19 infections with 159 more deaths in the past 24 hours, according to a release from the Ministry of Health, Xinhua reported.

The release said that the number of COVID-19 infections has risen to 365,759 while its death toll increased to 13,945 so far.

The ministry has imposed a stay-at-home order in 111 townships so far, after the order was newly imposed in Keng Tung township of Shan state on Thursday, in an effort to curb the chain of infections.
