Over 50 percent of high schools have reopened across Myanmar so far, an education official told Xinhua.

Of 7,173 high schools, 4,156 schools have reopened since July 21, complying with guidelines set by the health authorities while the country is seeing continued decline in the number of COVID-19 cases.

The schools reopened with preventive measures such as socially distanced classrooms, multiple-shift systems and others.
