All travellers coming from Sittway must undergo two throat swab tests

All travellers coming to Yangon from Sittway must undergo two throat swab tests and they must be quarantined in Yangon.

Yangon Region government COVID-19 disaster management committee chairman and Social Affairs Minister Naing Ngan Lynn told Mizzima that this new programme would start on August 20.

“All travellers coming to Yangon from Sittway must stay under quarantine in Yangon and they must undergo two throat swab tests for COVID-19. They can choose their quarantine programme either at a hotel or quarantine centre,” Minister Naing Ngan Lynn said.

Currently five COVID-19 positive cases without known source of transmission have been found in Sittway, Rakhine State.
