Local People’s Defence Forces (PDF) attacked a column of Myanmar soldiers in Natalin Township killing 10 soldiers on 13 October.

Ten Junta soldiers were killed and several others were injured, according to Phoenix PDF.

"The column marching to Nyaunglaebin contained about 50 junta soldiers. We waited for the junta column to then explode a succession of mines, thanks to our informant," said a Phoenix PDF information officer.

Locals people claimed that the Military Council troops shot two cows without cause and abducted hostages from nearby villages to carry their wounded soldiers.

The Phoenix PDF has published a statement advising people to stay away from Military Council members as the fighting continues to intensify.
