Bomb blasts hit Myanmar junta administration offices in Bago Region

Defence forces detonated two bombs at junta administration offices in Bago Region’s Pyay District on 25 September.

The bombs were detonated in front of the immigration office and the municipal office in Paukkaung Township, Pyay District, at 5:40 p.m. on 25 September, by the Paukkaung Liberation Force and the Urban Gentlemen Force from Paukkaung Township.

Captain Daigyi from the the Paukkaung Liberation Force said: “Previously, our force bombed Paukkaung police station on 9 August 2022 as part of the Shadowless Operation. Then we changed the name [of our operation] to the Kyaukaehinnyo Operation and carried out this attack [as part of the Kyaukaehinnyo Operation]. This is the second time we have launched an attack in Paukkaung Township.”

He added: “The attacks on the immigration office and municipal office were the first actions of the Kyaukaehinnyo Operation. We don’t yet know the amount of deaths or damage caused by the bomb blasts. We will continue to attack all the administrative departments that are pillars of the Military Council.
