Claymore mine attack kills 11 Myanmar junta soldiers in Yinmarbin Township

Local defence forces killed approximately 11 junta soldiers when they attacked them with Claymore mines whilst they were patrolling near Banbwe Village in Sagaing Region’s Yinmarbin Township.

A representative of the Infinite Revolution Force (IRF), one of the defence forces involved in the attack, said: “Unfortunately, only 15 Junta soldiers marched directly into our minefield on foot. So, we set off five claymore mines. About 11 military council soldiers were killed. There were four soldiers who fired back at us. We exchanged fire with them and seized all the guns from the dead soldiers… The bodies were picked up by many junta forces around 6:00 p.m.”

Defence force groups involved in the attack included Infinite Revolution Force, the Wunkabar Force and Yinmarbin District Battalion
