Four Myanmar military junta trucks were attacked with landmines on the Ye U to Khin U road in Sagaing Region by the Khin U Support Organization (KSO) on the morning of 20 September.
According to a KSO information officer, the group attacked four military trucks that had left their base in Ye U Township in the early morning with six landmines, near to Inn Pat Kway Village, also in Ye-U Township. He said that one vehicle was damaged and some junta troops were killed and injured.
Later, at around 7:00 a.m., the KSO attacked the remaining three trucks with 12 landmines near Khan Thit Village in Khin U Township.
All three vehicles were damaged and and more junta troops were killed and injured, according to the KSO.
Bo La Yaung, the commander of the KSO said: “We suspected that a tactical commander had joined the convoy because of the tightened security on the Ye U-Khin Road, but we could not confirm any details.”
He added: “I heard that they [the junta troops] suffered heavy casualties from our attack. People in both townships [Ye U and Khin U] are scared to go out because [since our attack] the junta forces have been threatening to shoot people if they go out onto the street.”
