A coalition of defence forces used drones to bomb junta troops and military-aligned Pyu Saw Htee militia members stationed in Zee Phyukone Village in Sagaing Region's, Shwebo Township, at noon on 26 July.

'The attack was called Operation 247 in honour of our soldiers who [previously] died in fighting. Six junta soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members were killed and more of them were injured in the drone bomb attack', said a representative of the Black Wolf People's Defence Force (PDF), one of the defence forces involved in the attack.

He said that the coalition of defence forces who carried out the attack was able to retreat without suffering any casualties.

He also explained that they had called the attack Operation 247 in honour of people murdered by the junta. In 247 the number two represented two local resistance fighters who died fighting the junta, the four represented the four pro-democracy activists executed by the junta on 23 July and the seven represented the seven villagers killed by the junta in Shwebo township's Ta-Ohnn Village.

The defence forces involved in the attack were Shwebo District Battalion (5), Black Wolf PDF, C'T Shwebo and Snake Eye PDF.
