Sri Lankan authorities on Sunday arrested four people and seized Rs 2.5 billion worth of drugs allegedly originating from Chinese-controlled Gwadar, a port city on the southwestern coast of Balochistan, Pakistan, zeenews reported.

They were transporting heroin and crystal methamphetamine (ice) to Sri Lankan boats from a Dhow that originated from Gwadar which forms part of China's One Belt, One Road initiative.

During the raid carried out by the Sri Lankan Excise Department, 100 kilograms of heroin and 100 kilograms of ice were seized.
