India is in an advanced stage of setting up a coastal radar station in Myanmar, The Hindu reported.

As part of efforts to further expand its coastal radar chain network meant to enable real time monitoring of the high seas for threats and also expand India’s assistance for capacity building to Indian Ocean littoral states, efforts are in advanced stages to set up coastal radar stations not only in Myanmar but also in Maldives and Bangladesh, The Hindu reported quoting defence sources.
