India's main opposition Congress leader Rahul Gandhi criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his no-trust vote speech in parliament, terming his comments inappropriate for the position of the country's premier.

"There is a complete misunderstanding in the mind of Narendra Modi about what the prime minister of India is," he said.
