A People’s Defence Force in Ye Township in Mon State is claiming an attack on a police station that resulted in the death of four police officers.

On 28 July around 3:00 pm, the Ye Bilu force reportedly carried out a raid on the police station (Myoma) in Ye Township, Mon State, murdering four police officers and injuring four more.

A representative of the Ye Bilu force said: "Our Ye Bilu force stormed the local police station. Initially, three police officers perished, and five more people are believed to have been hurt. When they arrived
at the hospital, I learned that another individual had passed away, so a total of four police officers died in the incident.”

The firefight reportedly lasted for about 15 minutes.
