Myanmar PDFs kill 10 junta soldiers in Sagaing village

A combined group of People’s Defence Forces (PDF) in Sagaing recently attacked a Myanmar junta unit in Hteinpan Village, Myinmu Township killing 10 soldiers, including two captains, according to a 2 December statement.

According to a Natogyi People Defense Force (NPDF) official, on 28 November at around 4:00 p.m., the NPDF and its allies attacked a Military Council unit of about 25 soldiers stationed in Hteinpan Village with heavy artillery, small arms and drones.

"Six of our allies joined forces surrounded the junta camp on November 28th. There was a brief exchange of fire. The battle lasted approximately one hour and twenty minutes,” an official from Natogyi People Defense Force told Mizzima.

Following the mutual firefight, the joint defense forces detonated landmines near the Military Council column that had arrived to assist the military troops stationed in Hteinpan village, he explained.

Hteinpan Village is located about 10 miles away from Myinmu Township and also has about 500 households.

Natogyi People Defense Force and its alliance forces, including 27 Revolution Forces, People Defense Force-Mandalay, Nagani Guerilla Force, Shwe Chan Thar Guerilla Force, and Bo Sar Guerilla Force, carried out the attack.
