PDFs attack Myanmar junta soldiers stationed in Sagaing’s Pale Police Station

A combined force of People’s Defence Force (PDF) groups attacked Pale Police Station where 100 Myanmar junta soldiers were stationed, in Sagaing’s Pale Township, on 17 September, according to a statement by Royal Eagle PDF.

According to a representative from Pale Township Battalion 1, another of the defence forces involved in the attack, six junta soldiers died and one fighter from the combined defence force was injured.

A representative from another of the groups involved in the attack, Royal Eagle PDF, said to Mizzima: “We carried out reconnaissance with drones. We then fired heavy artillery at the police station, before forcibly storming the police station. The fighting lasted for more than an hour. Six Military Council troops died, on our side a fighter was hit by a bullet, but he isn’t in a critical condition.”

The defence forces involved in the attack were Pale Township Battalions 1, 2, 4 and 6, Royal Eagle PDF, God OF Myaing, Myaing Villages Revolution Front, Ever Freedom, Khaing Lay, Anyar Daung, PCM, Anyar Myay, Ngar Ni, Pontaung Tiger PDF and Shwe Hin Thar.
