Pyu Saw Htee camp in Sagaing’s Inpin Htee Village attacked with rocket-propelled grenade

A Pyu Saw Htee camp in Inpin Htee Village, in Sagaing’s Pale Township was attacked by the local People’s Defence Force (PDF) with a long-range rocket-propelled grenade, according to the Black Leopard guerrilla group.

“The joint camp of about 100 Pyu Saw Htee members and seven military personnel was attacked by PDFs on 6 May, shooting started around 5 PM and no casualties have been reported yet,” said a member of the Black Leopard guerrilla group press committee.

They added: “There have been no villagers [Non junta personnel] in Inpin Htee village except for Pyu Saw Htee members. The Pyu Saw Htee members have already been staying in the village for around 12 months. They built a strongly fortified camp for a long-term stay. They also train their members there. We heard that there have been at least 10 shootings in the village.”

The attack was carried out by a combined force of the Black Leopard group, the People Revolution Army (PRA) Sub-Division (23), Pale Plain Defense Group (PPDG), the Plae Jorka Group and the Ground Hawk Group.

'To dismantle all the pillars of Military council such as the Military, Police, Pyu Saw Htee, Informants and the Tway Thout group, is our responsibility. I urge people to take responsibility for donating ammunition to overthrow all the military’s pillars', said Ko Pho Thar, a member of the Black Leopard guerrilla group press committee.

The military council and Pyu Saw Htee joint forces stationed in Inpin Htee village combined to raid the surrounding villages and set them on fire. According to local villagers the junta forces often steal villagers’ possessions and take them to the camp in Inpin Htee Village.
