RCSS burns drugs as a token on 10th anniversary of ceasefire

The Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS / SSA) reportedly set fire to seized drugs on December 2 to mark the 10th anniversary of the state-level ceasefire agreement.

The RCSS announced that the drugs were burnt in Loi Tai Leng and Brigade 707 territory where the RCSS headquarters is located.

The RCSS signed a state-level ceasefire agreement with U Thein Sein's government in Taunggyi in December 2011, which includes anti-drug agreements.

The RCSS said in a statement that it would work with all parties to uphold the essence of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) for the establishment of a federal democratic union through innovative political dialogues.
