Seven townships under ‘stay at home orders’ as COVID-19 cases rise to 111

The Ministry of Health and Sports issued “Stay at Home” orders in seven townships to effectively control the spread of COVID-19, according to state media.

People residing in the following townships in Yangon Region are included in the Stay at Home programme, South Okkalapa Township, Pabedan Township, Bahan Township, Mayangone Township, Insein Township, Shwe Pyi Thar Township, and Hlaingtharyar Township.

People from the seven townships must stay only at their homes (those who need to perform their duties at government departments, organizations, companies, factories and workshops not included), only one person per one household to go out for shopping for unavoidable circumstances, Only two persons per household to go to hospital or clinic if a need arises, and all people must wear masks when going outside.
