The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • Somewhere in a frontline battle in Karenni State, 4 members of the medical team from Karenni Combined Force; Caroline Khine Lin aged 17, Angela aged 20, Mya Htwe aged 19 and Bosco aged 22 lost their lives in an aerial bombing by the junta army. Ministry of Health-NUG offered deepest condolences to their families and paid tribute to them as martyrs.
  • On Tuesday, the Presidential Office of the NUG sent a statement to Sagaing Forum, claiming that it would strengthen the revolution activities in the region.
  • On the two-year anniversary of the founding of Karenni Nationalities Defence Force (KNDF), Ministry of Defence-NUG sent a statement, calling for continuous cooperation until the victory of People’s Defensive War.
  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs-NUG stated that the international community including Chair of the ASEAN and the neighbouring countries are to join hands with the NUG for emergency assistance across the border via strongly-built ethnic and civil networks.
  • The NUG expressed thanks to local and international groups, organizations and individuals for their financial contribution to the rescue of the victims of the Cyclone Mocha.
  • On Monday, there was a meeting between the Committee on the Affairs of Women, Youth and Children under Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and Ministry of Women, Youth and Children-NUG.

Revolution Activities

  • According to Mizzima, over 60 people have been injured and around 20 others have lost lives due to landmines in Chin State after the military coup.
  • In Kawlin Township under the military rule, the junta army destroyed the people’s houses in Kyauktan Village and took away their belongings.
  • Somewhere in Kani Township of Sagaing Region, Yinmabin District PDF Regiment (23) completed a one-month training on Tuesday.
  • On the way out of Monywa to Chaung-U, a local PDF conducted an attack using mines on a junta convoy. Reportedly, there were a large number of casualties among junta soldiers.
  • In Myaung Township, there was an attack using 40mm grenades on the junta armed force in Kyaukyit Police Station.
  • In Kyunghla Township, the junta army burnt 25 houses, a clinic and 3 barns in 4 local villages. They also destroyed gold mining rafts.
  • In Kani Township, the junta army opened fire from a helicopter on Thaminsat Divergent Point without any battle on Wednesday morning.
  • In Sagaing Region, the S&C donated desks to the schools of the IDPs.
  • On Wednesday morning, a rally of Yinmabin North marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Monywa, Local Youth Association protested against the military dictatorship on Wednesday morning, hanging an anti-junta banner in front of Myawaddy Bank owned by the junta army.
  • In Mandalay, there was an attack using 40mm grenades on No. (1) Police Station.
  • In Dawei of Taninthayi Region, the junta army on patrol opened fire at about 9:00 pm Tuesday. Consequently, two local men lost their lives while feeding their dogs.
  • In Taninthayi Township, there were three mine attacks on a military convoy. Reportedly, a car was damaged.
  • At about 7:00 pm Tuesday, the Urban Guerrilla shot at Li Li Naing Kyaw, a vocalist in association with the military junta. Reportedly, he died while receiving medical treatment at hospital.
  • In Ayeyarwady Region, a rally of Kyankhine Township conducted an anti-junta movement, holding signs against the junta’s slavery education.
  • In Tandabin Township of Bago Region, the junta army arrested and killed U Htay Win, a disabled farmer aged 50 from Hlelamku Village, during their invasion into the area.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • Karenni Nationalities Defence Force stated that they would continue to join hands with the NUCC, NUG and CRPH via the Karenni State Consultative Council to build a federal democratic nation.
  • In Mailar of Special Area (4) in Shan East, the delegation of Arakan Army (AA) led by Second Chief Military Officer Dr. Nyo Tun Aung will join the meeting with the junta’s peace team.
  • In Dupalaya District under Karen National Union Brigade (6), the junta army shot mortars in Winyay Township, killing a civilian.

The Military Council

  • There was a meeting between the second junta leader Soe Win and the Acting Director General of Chinese Military Investigation in Nay Pyi Taw.
  • In the meeting with MSME businesses in Danu Self-Administered Region, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing claimed that the people are to focus on local development although they may have political differences.
  • Mr. Sholban Kara-Ool, the Vice Chair of Russia Parliament, told the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing that Russia would help Myanmar with a free and fair election.
  • The military junta claimed that they have been carrying out activities to build more hydro and thermal power stations in Shan State. Reportedly, the Upper Kyaing Taung Hydro Power Project will be fully completed by 2025.

  • Russia, the tower of strength for the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing, claimed that they would provide help with the illegitimate election. Consequently, the military junta might conduct the election by force while the conflicts continue.
