The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The U.S Mission to the UN tweeted that Robert A.Wood, the US Special Envoy on UN Political Affairs, met with Dr. Zaw Wai Soe, Minister of Health and Education- NUG.
  • The Union Minister of Human Rights- NUG claimed that the statements and condemnations on Myanmar’s human rights by the UN Human Rights Commissioner and responsible personnel gained momentum in the ongoing session of the UN Human Rights Council. He added that they had also called on the UN Security Council to take action.
  • In Yesagyo Township of Magwe Region, a Local Administration Team of the NUG gave rice and footwear to over 600 displaced households in the Yelegyun Area.
  • The military junta has been taking out political prisoners and killing them. U Min Ko Naing, a student leader of the 88 Generation, condemned it, saying that it was such an inhumane deed with the intention to oppress the public with fear.

Revolutionary Activities

  • In Yinmabin Township of Sagaing Region, a rally of Shwe Nwe Thwe with strong determination led a march against the military dictatorship on Sunday.
  • On Sunday, a combined rally of Yinmabin and Salingyi marched for the end of the military dictatorship.
  • On Sunday, a rally of Yinmabin North marched against the military dictatorship.
  • In Kani Township, there was a bomb attack via drone along with 60mm grenade on the junta army in Alegyun Village at about 10:00 am Saturday. Reportedly, they fell and exploded on a weapon warehouse and military targets.
  • In Khin-U Township, there was a battle between the junta army and local PDFs near Sisonele Village at about 12:00 pm Saturday.
  • In Pale Township, PDFs conducted a surprise attack on the junta soldiers and Pyusawti members from Inmati Village at about 1:00 pm Saturday.
  • In Ayadaw Township, a combined force of three PDFs blew up a MyTel telecom tower and No. (10) junta army unit at about 5:00 pm Friday.
  • In Myinmu Township, the junta army killed a PDF member and three people by burning in Nabegyu Village on Thursday.
  • In Myinmu Township, the junta army set fire to Gonenyinseik Village. Reportedly, more than 180 houses were burnt to ashes.
  • At about 4:30 am on 5 July, Danger Force LPDF attacked the No. (10) junta army recruitment unit.
  • In Natmauk Township of Magwe Region, the junta army arrested over 30 people and burnt 6 houses in Kyauk-Oh Village on Saturday afternoon.
  • In Yetashay of Bago Region, there was an attack on the junta army in the immigration office on Friday evening, killing 2 junta soldiers.
  • In South Korea, Myanmar people and the support teams of the Spring Revolution protested against Myanmar’s military dictatorship.

Ethnic Armed Organisations

  • According to CDF Mindat, the public are not to use Kyauktu-Mindat Road for an indefinite time.
  • In Hakha Township, the Chin National Army attacked the junta army stationing near Thidar Village on Saturday. Reportedly, 6 junta soldiers died and 4 weapons were confiscated.
  • In Matupi Township, there was a battle between the junta army and CDF-Mara in Lilinepi at 2:20 pm Saturday. Reportedly, 4 junta soldiers died.
  • The Chair of the Karenni Nationalities Defence Force called on the public to contribute to their revolver campaign to carry out more intense operations.
  • The Chair of the KNDF claimed that they had been preparing to counter-attack the junta’s Naypyi Taw.
  • In Beelin Township and Kyaikto Township of Mon State, a combined force of the KNLA and PDF conducted attacks via drone on the junta armed forces at 2:40 pm on Saturday.
  • In Thanphyu Zayat Township of Mon State and Kyar-In Seikgyi Township of Kayin State, the Special Operation Force of the KNLA conducted bomb attacks via drone on the two police stations and a sub-power station. Reportedly, 3 junta members died.
  • Karen National Union (Central) announced on Sunday that a total of 2,632 junta soldiers including officers died in local battles in Kayin State in the first six months this year.
  • In Tanaing Township of Kachin State, the Kachin Independence Army attacked the three militia camps. Reportedly, 15 members including the second chief military officer of the Warazut Militia died and 10 others were injured.
  • The All Burma Students' Democratic Front (ABSDF) conducted an event on the completion of their basic military training of Chindwin Area Batch (2) on Sunday.

The Military Council

  • The junta propaganda team announced that Kaung Zarni Hein aged 23 and Kyaw Thura aged 30, allegedly the assassins of nationalist artist Li Li Naing Kyaw, were shot dead on the morning of 6 July as they tried to run away.
  • The Deputy Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister of Thailand went on a one-day trip to Naypyi Taw to meet with the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing.
  • Despite the junta’s control on all import licenses and the use of USD, business people and companies in association with top army officers have been bribing military personnel and they have been granted import licenses and the purchase of millions of USD.
  • The junta Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations stated that it would grant investors in oil crops with an income tax exemption for 3 to 7 years to encourage self-sufficiency of edible oil in the country.
  • According to the junta Economics and Commerce Ministry, the garment sector earned over 800 million USD in the first two months of the current fiscal year.
  • According to the import/export newsletter of the junta Trade Department, the deadline for the entry of export income was extended from 7 days to 15 days, and the insurance fee for exports can be paid with local currency in accordance with the market price at the respective border areas.
  • The junta Union Election Commission announced that the Kumi National Party had applied for registration as a political party on 7 July.
  • According to the junta vehicle registration office, over 3,200 electric vehicles have been registered at their department until June 2023.

Summary on 10 July

  • Despite their lying propaganda, the military junta intentionally shot dead the two young people, who had been accused of killing the nationalist Li Li Naing Kyaw.
  • Despite the junta’s control on import licenses and the use of foreign currency, business people have been bribing military officers to gain privileges. In other words, they have been openly committing corruption.
