The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The Anti-Coup Committee (Korea) announced that it had sent a monthly donation worth 100,000 USD, earned via a One-Day Challenge, to the NUG on 5 July.
  • At 10:00 am Sunday, there was a meeting between the Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration- NUG and Township People’s Administration from Taninthayi Region, Ayeyarwady Region and Bago Region.

Revolutionary Activities

  • A focal person of the Foreign Department stated that Myanmar’s affairs would be a theme of discussion for the US Foreign Minister in his meeting with the foreign ministers from Southeast Asia during his trip to Indonesia.
  • In Ye-U Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army conducted bomb attacks via two fighter jets on the monastery and the school in Yemyet Village at 9:40 am Monday.
  • In Ayadaw Township, Danger Force LPDF conducted an attack via 107mm grenades on the junta recruitment unit.
  • In Ye-U Township, the junta army carried out an air strike near the local monastery in Yemyet Village. Reportedly, a stupa and some Buddha images were damaged.
  • In Minkin Township, the military junta supplied Kyarbin Police Station in Taungdwin Area with weapons. Consequently, there were clashes in the area.
  • In Kyaikmayaw Township of Mon State and Kyar-In Seikgyi Township of Kayin State, there were bomb attacks via drone on Taungkalay Police Station and Kale Dagundine Police Station.
  • In Kyaukdagar Township and Yetashay Township of Bago Region, there were heavy battles between the junta army and local PDFs in the first week of July. Reportedly, more than 30 junta soldiers died.
  • In Yetashay Township, PDFs attacked the junta army on the way for secret patrol near Sibaing Village. Reportedly, a junta soldier died.
  • On behalf of Sandee Mcgrath from England, a representative of Rural Land donated food to the displaced children in Demoso Township of Karenni State.
  • In Ayeyarwady Region, a rally of Kyankhine Township protested against the military dictatorship on Monday.
  • Myanmar Youth Groups called on The ASEAN Special Envoy for Myanmar for ASEAN to blacklist the military junta as a terrorist group and exclude it from all ASEAN meetings.

Ethnic Armed Organizations

  • In Thandaunggyi Township of Kayin State, the junta army shot dead two local young people.
  • In Ledo Township, the junta army stabbed a local resident to death and arrested 17 others.
  • In Thatone Township of Mon State, the junta army fired mortars into Htonebole Village. According to Karen National Union (Central), a house and the entrance of a local monastery were damaged.

The Military Council

  • The military junta did not publicise that the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Thailand had met with them, including the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing.
  • In Mandalay Region, 3 staff members of Myingyan Prison got dismissed and each of them will reportedly have to serve 6 months in prison.
  • In Fasaung Township of Karenni State, the junta army conducted an aerial attack on a village on Sunday afternoon.
  • The junta Ambassador to Japan attended the 317th meeting of the ASEAN Committee (Tokyo).
  • According to the Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation, it will remove power meters with bill debts for more than 4 months.
  • The junta Yangon Regional Government announced that some roads would be temporarily blocked off during the ceremony on Martyrs’ Day, 19 July.
  • The military junta expressed its objection to the report on children and armed conflicts by the United Nations Secretary-General and the open-door meeting related to the report.

Summary on 11 July

  • The junta army led by Min Aung Hlaing has been burning villages and killing people for no apparent reason. Besides, they have been stealing people’s belongings. On the other hand, their seniors have been stealing the national budget. In other words, the whole army is like a gang of thieves and robbers.
  • In Karenni State and Kayin State, the junta armed forces have been firing mortars and carrying out random air strikes. They have also been killing locals intentionally.
